Why are there so many Koreans in Northeast China?

South Korea is closer to Northeast China.

By checking the map, I learned that South Korea is relatively close to Northeast my country, and many Koreans like to travel to Northeast China.

The Northeast region refers to the area composed of Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning provinces as well as the Eastern Fourth League of Inner Mongolia, referred to as Northeast.
