My colorful trip to Hainan (III) Visiting Crater Park

I felt the joy of flying and catching crabs. On the next day's trip, we chose Shishan Volcano Group National Geopark, which is about 15 kilometers away from Haikou city center. Before we set out, we got a general understanding of the crater park: Shishan Volcano Group National Geopark is located in Yongxing Town, Shishan, southwest of Haikou City, with an area of 18 square kilometers. There are more than 4 Quaternary volcanoes in the park, which are diverse in types, rich in lava landscape and peculiar in lava tunnels. It is a rare volcanic wonder. Here, the Millennium volcano, the Millennium volcanic rock culture and the tropical ecological vegetation community are integrated to form a geological park with the ecological and cultural connotation of tropical cities! Having said that, it's time for us to take a look at Crater Park. Please look at Crater Park on January 31st ...

After buying tickets at the ticket office, we came to the gate of the park. I looked at the park, and a lot of beautiful and exquisite wood carvings were waving to me! They are different in shape and lifelike. In my opinion, they are all national treasures! "Wow!" When I saw a beautiful woodcarving work in front of me, I couldn't help crying out. I ran forward and carefully observed the wood carving. It seemed to be carved from a whole tree. The carving was not very fine, even a little rough, but it made people look so beautiful. This wood carving looks like the shape of a chair. The top back of the chair has not been greatly decorated. Instead, some branches are spread out freely, just like proud as a peacock! The most valuable thing is that the branches on it are like a sunshade, which can provide shade for people sitting in chairs. The whole chair is very ordinary, without a hint of splendor, but it makes people admire and admire it! There are many flowers and plants near the wood carving, among which shamrock is the most common one. People regard it as a symbol of respect for guests and often put it in front of hotels or tourist attractions. Another kind of plant is also very famous in Hainan, that is, the bottle coconut. The small bottle coconut is chubby and lovely. When I took a photo with it, I smelled the wine on it!

We walked on. Just a few steps away, we saw a mighty lion (root carving) squatting on the side of the road and looking back. Its eyes were full of joy and confidence, and we could see how happy it was to live in this flower-like world! In the middle of the road stands a big stone, which is the treasure of the park! Don't underestimate this stone, it is very different from ordinary stones. Standing near this stone, you can easily find many small holes in this stone. These holes are all different in shape, some are slender and some are oval. Can you guess what this stone is? Forget it, tell you the truth, this is the impression left by volcanic eruption. This stone is the legendary volcanic rock. It is not an ordinary stone. People call it basalt, because it was formed under specific conditions during the process of volcanic eruption and lava flow. It has various shapes and mysterious texture, so it has high ornamental value. People become golden toad, dolphin and stone lion through processing and ornament ... but they look so lifelike to us. In fact, I would say that nature is the best craftsman!

I also forgot to tell you that even the tree-lined roads in the park are paved with lava flows left by the volcanic eruption. According to the tour guide, the old people nearby often exercise on them, which has a good massage function! Go on along the tree-lined path, and after a while, an antique door will be in front of you. This gate is all made of volcanic rocks, and it is covered with Parthenocissus tricuspidata. The branches and leaves of Parthenocissus tricuspidata hang down like a curtain, adding a bit of mystery and obscurity to the scenery behind! A closer look shows that there are two bright red characters engraved on the volcanic rocks: Shimen! When you walk into Shimen, the first thing you see is a Longquan. Why is it called Longquan? That's because the shape of this spring is a dragon. The dragon is lying on the ground, and the clear spring water keeps flowing out of his mouth. This spring water is unusual. It is a natural spring water rich in minerals that flows out from thousands of meters underground of the volcano! I couldn't help but go up and pick up some with my hands and want to have a taste. This taste is amazing, the spring water is sweet and delicious, and it is refreshing when it is contained in your mouth. It is really good water! In front of Longquan is a small farmhouse, which is the house where people live when they live near the volcano. It is warm in winter and cool in summer, and the roof is also equipped with lighting facilities, which shows how smart people were at that time!

basalt me and toad

is it strange that the title is "me and toad"? But "to be no.1 and themoon won the laurels"

is my unchanging dream.

Columnar Lava Flow

Next, we should climb the mountain. Unconsciously, we came to the commanding height of Haikou: 222.8 meters. It's perfect to overlook Haikou from here: the tall buildings in the distance stand like a mirage in the mist, and the green all over the mountains makes people feel relaxed and happy. At first glance, you can immediately make your gray eyes lively. This is the power of nature! Looking down, this is the largest crater in Crater Park. It is like a big bowl, and people are like steaming "jiaozi" in it. Look around again: more than 4 large and small volcanic craters around have long since lost their appearance when they erupted. After more than 7, years of changes, they have long been dressed up as "green forest fairies" by various flowers and plants. If you don't tell you that these are volcanic craters, you must still think that this is a natural world of flowers and plants! How powerful the power of nature is!
