What is Nanping Kannonji famous for?

Nanping Kannonji is famous for its Li Anquan Cave. Lianquan is located halfway up the mountain. This mountain is not high. It's famous for its immortals, with an endless stream of pilgrims and tourists, and the incense in Kannonji is flourishing. Between Kannonji and China, there are Buddhist temples, with Tathagata Hall in the middle and Wenchang Pavilion and Tai Sui Hall on both sides. Foxian Temple is connected with Sheji Temple and Kannonji by a round gate. The former is called "saddle" and the latter is called "ancient cave". Because it has not been renovated, the Pipa Lake is covered with moss. For thousands of years, generations have silently watched the good men and women who entered the door. There is peace between Buddha and immortal, Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism live in harmony, and China people tolerate foreign good religions with a broad mind, which shows this point. Cigarettes filled the air in front of the temple, and signs rang in the temple. With solemn attitude, respectful words and good wishes, everyone prayed for the blessing of Guanyin, the immortal Buddha, and it was a peaceful scene.

1September, 984, the Ma 'an Ancient Temple was rebuilt, including Huaguang Temple, Jinhua Temple, Shetan, Ma 'an Ancient Temple, Xianfo Temple, Tai Sui Temple, etc. to worship heaven and earth and water, and to bless Tianguan, the God of Wealth, the land of mountain gods, Emperor Wenchang, Ciqu people, Zhang Tianshi, the God of Wealth of Zhao Gongming, Wong Tai Sin, the Goddess of Doum, and 60 stars. It became a temple dedicated to Taoism and Buddhism. At present, Taoism is growing and living together, and Taoist ceremonies can be held. It is a temple with Taoist priests in Zhuhai.

During the light year of the Qing Dynasty, Rong Jun initiated villagers to raise funds and built two temples near Li Anquan Cave, with Jinhua Temple on the left and Sansheng Temple on the right, and set up teahouses and temples. There used to be a Guanyin stone in Maanshan. According to legend, four or five hundred years ago, Shawei was a sparsely populated island called Gourd Bird. At that time, fishermen often berthed in the north of the island to weave fishing nets and cables. One evening, the wind was clear and the moon was bright, and the sails were flying. Suddenly, a beam of fire flashed on the mountain, dazzling. Some curious fishermen immediately went ashore and ran up the mountain to search. When they first arrived at Taz Cave, they found a amphibole triangle stone more than a foot high shining under the refraction of water and light. Thinking they were immortals, these fishermen put the triangle stone as Guanyin in the center of the cave wall, then lit candles and burned incense to worship.

The history of caves in Li Anquan

During the Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty, there was a Zhai Gu named Rong Zhi in Nanping, who was buried in an empty gate of Guanfu. Every day, the rooster crows and sweeps the court. She used charity money to build a four-poster iron pavilion in front of Li Anquan Cave and restored the temple.

Li Anquan Cave has a long history and has experienced ups and downs. During the warehouse depression, the cave was destroyed, the iron pavilion and two temples were demolished and sold, and even the Guanyin stone in the temple was missing. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Hong Kong and Macao compatriots donated money for reconstruction, built three pavilions such as Ciyin and Xianbang, and planted many flowers and trees. Later, after the wind and rain erosion, coupled with the man-made destruction of ten years of catastrophe, Li Anquan Building became a ruin. It was not until1September, 984 that Nanping Town set up a tourism company to raise funds to redevelop Li Anquan Cave and make Li Anquan look brand-new.
