What are the fun things to do in Hokkaido? What do I need to prepare for going to Hokkaido?

In Hokkaido, Japan, you can not only soak in hot springs in winter, but you can also take your children there. The first few scenic spots mentioned by Bianxiao are more suitable for taking children. You should also focus on preparation before traveling.

Noboribetsu Marine Park

This is a Nordic castle-style marine park. It is a castle-like building, full of fairy tale colors, especially suitable for little girls. Walking in the underwater tunnel, you can watch fish of various sizes shuttle around, just like the ocean princess in Disney animation. At the same time, you can also enjoy animal performances such as penguin walks, dolphin performances, and sea lion performances, and touch marine animals with your own hands.

Transportation

It is adjacent to the JR boarding station. You can walk right from the boarding station for 5 minutes.

Business hours

9:00-17:00 (there are fixed holidays every year, April 7-9, 2015). Please refer to the official website for detailed updates.

Alpaca Ranch ECORIN Village

Children can’t resist the super cute alpacas! Here, we will complete an educational journey of caring for animals, plants and the natural environment with the theme of environmental protection and healthy food.

Asahiyama Zoo

This is the most famous zoo in Hokkaido and the northernmost zoo in Japan. Xushan Zoo is famous not only because it is loved by adults and children, but also because of its unique animal "behavior display" method. The so-called behavioral display is to set up various unique animal swimming tools to allow animals to play freely and show their health and vitality to visitors. The concept of the exhibition breaks away from the dull stillness of animals hiding in the corner of their cages, which is common in zoos. The new dynamic beauty displayed by animals has become a highlight that attracts tourists' attention. If you are making a one-day trip from Sapporo, you can choose to take the Asahi Zoo Train, which has a unique animal theme in each car. Children will scream~

Address: Kuruma, Asahikawa-cho, Asahikawa Higashi, Hokkaido

Business hours

9:30-17:15 from May to October;< /p>

10:30-15:30 from November to April;

The night zoo is only open from August 9 to August 15: 9:00-21: 00.

Personally, I think parents can choose where to go based on their children’s interests and personalities. If time is limited, priority should be given to ECORIN Village, the alpaca ranch in Ocean Park. Children of all ages can enjoy close encounters with animals.

Tips:

With children, don’t go to the venue to queue up to buy tickets. Book a day trip online in advance. It’s super convenient!

White Lovers Park

In addition to having close contact with animals, older children with a sweet tooth should also go to White Lovers Park. With the theme of children knocking chocolate, when you walk into the park, you will see a red brick building like a fairy tale castle with a chocolate factory inside. There is a movable doll clock tower outside and there is a "Chocolate Carnival" every hour. The dolls on the bell tower began to sing and dance, and they were very happy. Here, you can not only visit the factory and see the entire process of chocolate making on the assembly line, but also appreciate chocolate-related collections. Parents and children can make white couple chocolate chip cookies together. Full of happiness ~ but suitable for older children!

MORISU Cable Car + Mount Moiwa Night View

Family travel, and the best thing is that it can create various memories during the trip. The cable car ride is a private communication space for parents and children. The MORISU Cable Car is the world's first forest experience car, connecting Zaoam Mountainside Station and Zaoam Summit Station. Two cabins run between the mountainside station and the summit station. Passengers seemed to be racing through the forest. Let's go on a wonderful adventure with your baby!

When you reach the top of Hayaiwa Mountain, you can see a large observation deck overlooking Sapporo city, as well as a number of Japanese restaurants. You can enjoy the panoramic view of Sapporo while tasting unique and exquisite food. There is also a Happiness Bell on the observation deck at the top of the mountain. As time goes by, more and more lights are turned on until they cover the entire city of Sapporo, making people linger and marvel.

Pre-trip preparations

Air tickets

Actually, the main reason for this trip is my husband’s Air China points. Changing your ticket from Shanghai to Tokyo is very cost-effective, the price is the same as that from Shanghai to Chongqing! So we happily used points to exchange for round-trip air tickets for the two of us, and then only paid more than 1,000 yuan in taxes and fees, which was similar to the plane tickets we picked up for free. And, the timing was super good. We left early and came back late, so no time was wasted. Very good!

Visa

The visa was found by a travel agency on a certain website. Since my husband and I have visas from developed countries in Europe and the United States, we can take the high-quality customer route. Submissions are simple and no guarantee is required. You can search for details by yourself. Basically every travel agency has this service~ When I went to Japan for the first time, I got a sales visa, which means a form will be issued to you when the visa is issued. You need to print it out and bring it with you, then ask the flight attendant at the gate for your return flight.

Mobile wifi

Be sure to rent mobile wifi when going to Japan. The travel agency I found this time will give you free visas for two people. Just pay the deposit at the airport and get it directly.

It’s also the same location, and the deposit can be refunded on the spot, which is very convenient~

Practical APP

Tokyo Metro, Tokyo Metro, and JR are really numerous.

Be sure to download it to your mobile phone for easy viewing at any time.

Hotel

The first four nights in Tokyo were booked on airbnb, and the night I went to Lake Kawaguchi to see Mount Fuji was booked at a hot spring hotel (awesome, more details later) , my last night in Tokyo was booked through sunroute hotel chain booking. Overall, the price/performance ratio is very high.

Travel Notes

Day 1

This is Anna’s plane meal. Except for the main meal, all the snacks are delicious. Haha~ Especially the fruit, pineapple is really sweet! This time I went to Japan and ate pineapples three times, and they were all so sweet that I was worried about mulberries~~Are all fruits that have been exposed to nuclear radiation sweeter?

After a two-and-a-half-hour flight, the plane landed smoothly at Narita Airport, far away from the city. Also, taking a taxi in Tokyo is really expensive. So we chose Jr. A few nights ago, I booked a hotel on airbnb. JR Yamanote Line Shin-Okubo Station. The host is Chinese and there is no barrier to communication. From Narita Airport, take the Beijing Cost Line to Nemori Station, then transfer to the JR Yamanote Line to Shin-Okubo Station. Get off the subway and walk for 3-5 minutes. There is only one stop between Okubo Station and the transportation hub Shinjuku Station. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to Shinjuku Station from the hotel we booked, but the price is at least one-third cheaper than the rooms around Shinjuku Station. The price/performance ratio can be said to be super high~

When you arrive in Japan, you have to eat the famous ramen as your first meal~ ~~Oddly enough, when I went to Hokkaido the year before last, I felt like I had never seen Sapporo's ramen. I did some research before going to Tokyo this time, and found out that this is a must-try restaurant in Japan! So we put down our luggage and rushed to the Yilan Ramen shop in Shinjuku. The soup stock is okay, there shouldn't be too much additives like MSG. One of them, Soran Ramen, is highly recommended. Must try, worth eating many times!

The famous Kabukicho hahaha, there are a lot of "unexpected encounters" in it. What do you mean, you can go to Baidu by yourself~ But it is said that outsiders are not allowed to enter this place, and there will be a social-looking person in a suit and tie at the door of every store. However, there is no online solicitation and I feel very safe.

Tickets for the second day

Tickets can be purchased at the entrance of the park or at the automatic ticket vending machine in front of the museum. Very convenient, but I forgot the specific price. It’s not expensive anyway. There are special exhibitions in the museum. If you want to see special exhibitions, you must buy additional tickets. Often, tickets to special exhibitions are very expensive.

The museum is divided into three exhibition halls, a main hall, a Western hall and an Eastern hall. The three exhibition halls are all very large. If you really go to visit, the three exhibition halls are enough for a whole day. We took a brief tour of the main exhibition hall and got a feel for the atmosphere.

This is the general map of Ueno Park, which covers a very large area. The air in the entire park is very good, and there are cherry blossom trees on both sides of the road. Unfortunately, we came in the wrong season. If it's cherry blossom season, it should be beautiful. It’s no wonder that Ueno Park is one of the most popular cherry blossom viewing spots in Tokyo.

The eel rice in Yi Rong's restaurant is divided into three sets: pine, bamboo and plum. In fact, there are three types: small, medium and large. I ordered a small portion, which was actually enough for a girl. This was a set meal for my husband and we both enjoyed it very well. The eel is particularly delicious, there are no burnt spots, and the rice is soaked with the juice of the eel, which is super delicious! However, eels still have spines, so you shush

After dinner, go to Akihabara! It takes about 20 minutes to walk from Ueno to Akihabara. I didn’t feel tired even while walking along the way. Akihabara is considered a paradise for otakus. Unfortunately, neither my husband nor I are fans of anime. But there is an electronics street in Akihabara. After comparing several commercial streets, it is recommended to start with Akihabara. The prices of electrical appliances here are indeed the cheapest, including drugstores and cosmetics. Likewise, Matsumoto Ito and Don Quijote, Akihabara are cheaper than Shinjuku. There are also many maid cafes here, and many girls cosplaying as maids stand on the streets to promote them. If you like animation culture, you can go in and experience it. Comics, figurine comics, etc. are everywhere. Unfortunately, my husband and I are still at the level of Slam Dunk, Conan, Pokemon, and Sailor Moon.

We ran to the famous Tokyo Tower again, took the subway and got off at Hamamatsucho. Only a short distance away. We went to see the night view. After turning on the lights, the orange tower is really beautiful. It doesn't feel cold at all, but it brings a kind of warmth to people. It just feels different at night. I hesitated under the tower for a long time, but still didn't go up. Maybe I have been to too many towers and have no desire to go up.

(There is a One Piece store under the tower, all around One Piece, please don’t miss it!)
