However, Nanfeng Group, after the restructuring of Salt Chemical Bureau, refused to pay the project funds on the grounds of restructuring. Therefore, the Red Temple can only be looked after and guarded by Hejin Ancient Construction Company. This is a disadvantage in the supervision of cultural relics, and it is also a manifestation of Nanfeng Group's lack of social responsibility and integrity.

In 2003, Nanfeng Group violated the national cultural relics law and destructively rebuilt the Guang Hai Building and Zhuoyan Building of Chishen Temple. The whole construction process did not "repair the old as the old" according to the requirements of the Cultural Relics Law at all, but built an antique "modern ancient building" according to the standards of the south wind. This makes Chi Temple suffer from the destruction of the three main halls of the main building, and has never been taken seriously.

According to the provisions of the National Cultural Relics Law, the cultural relics protection unit is a special area and status, and everything in it is not allowed to change the status quo at will, and what is lost is not allowed to be rebuilt. If it is really necessary to restore, it is necessary to find out the basis, repeatedly demonstrate, formulate a recovery plan, and report it to the higher authorities for approval before implementation. The appalling destruction of Yuncheng Chi Temple is purely illegal.

In 2009, Chishen Temple was transferred to a local tourism development company for development as an enterprise asset of Nanfeng Group. Enterprises have no qualifications for cultural relics development at all and lack the necessary common sense of cultural relics protection. In March 2009, Nanfeng Group privately appointed a group of personnel to smash the temple gate in the early hours of the morning, damaging the unrepaired buildings left by the temple and destroying all the important cultural relics preserved in the room. Destroyed the overall structure of Tanzhe Temple.

At present, the ownership of the Red Temple is still unclear, and Nanfeng Group is still ignoring its cultural value and wantonly destroying it. Such a thousand-year-old temple group is losing its original style and value.
