Our family will go out for two days and stay for one night. Is it okay to leave the puppy alone at home?

It depends on how old the dog is. If you are less than one year old, I suggest you find someone to look at it, or you will collapse when you go home. I personally experienced that our golden retriever can make a mess of the whole house in an afternoon without a chain. Fortunately, it has no habit of excreting at home, otherwise I really want to kill it.

It really doesn't matter if older dogs have good habits. You should control enough water and feed more dog food.
