Can you recommend some travel tips for a 2-day trip to Lushan Mountain from Shanghai?
Here is a guide for a two-day trip from Shanghai to Lushan. On the first day, it is estimated that it will take half a day’s drive to reach Guling Town. Find an inn to put down your luggage and go for a walk to nearby attractions, such as Huahua Town. Trail, Jinxiu Valley, Immortal Cave, Imperial Stele Pavilion, Museum, Story of the Old Villa, Lushan Love Cinema, Guling Street. The next day we went to Hanpokou, Sandiequan, Wulaofeng, the former site of the Lushan Conference, and Meilu Villa.
Generally, it is best to take a train from Shanghai to Lushan. If the train is too uncomfortable and unfree, you can choose to go to Lushan by self-driving. The best time to go to Lushan is probably May and June. Of course, you can also go to Lushan Mountain on Women’s Day, which can save you a lot of money, but many people only go there for the azaleas in Lushan Mountain. If you are traveling by car, you will probably be on the road for half the day, so you will arrive at Guling Town in Lushan Mountain in the afternoon. Therefore, it is best to find an inn by that time in the afternoon. It is best to ask several hotels, because outsiders are easily fooled, so the accommodation is solved. Then there is the issue of food. There are restaurants everywhere on Guling Street. After solving these two problems, you can go to some nearby attractions for a while. For example, go to the park in the middle of the street to take a photo and keep a souvenir to prove it. Been to Lushan Mountain.
Since half of the first day was spent on the road, I could only go to nearby places to take a look in the afternoon. After going to the park in the center of the street, I went to Flower Stem, where the legendary Bai Juyi Thatched Cottage is located. It is an ancient cultural building with shops selling things. Go play with flower stems and then go to Ruqin Lake. You can walk around the lake, or of course you can take a boat. Then go to Jinxiu Valley. The scenery here is very good, mainly the canyon scenery. It will probably take more than an hour to complete the walk. Prepare more water and dry food. Climbing the mountain is very physically demanding. Pass through the Immortal Cave and reach the Royal Stele Pavilion, which is mainly a place for tourists to burn incense and pray for blessings. From Yubei Pavilion, you can take a sightseeing bus directly to the museum. On the way there are Meilu and Lulin Lake. When going to Lushan, you must go to Lushan Love Cinema to experience the feelings.
You can go to Hanpokou the next day. You can take more sightseeing buses today, because most of the distance is quite far. Most of the places in Hanpokou are stone monuments and pavilions, and then you can go to Sandie Spring and Wulao Peak, these two places are mostly natural scenery. Overall, Lushan Mountain is still a scenic spot worth visiting, but it is a bit tiring.
