Which city in China is Hong Kong City?
Qinhuangdao, also known as "Port City", is a municipality under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province. Qinhuangdao is a national historical and cultural city in China with a very long history. In the 32nd year of the First Emperor of Qin (215 BC), the First Emperor of Qin visited Jieshi in the East and carved the "Jieshi Gate Ci" here. Later, when he sent Lu Sheng from Yan to go to the sea to seek immortality, he also stayed here. Therefore, the place was named Qinhuangdao. It is also the only city in China named after an emperor.
Lai Qinqian Huangtou Island is located in North China, northeast of Hebei, and adjacent to the Bohai Sea in the south. It is one of the first batch of coastal open cities in China, an important functional area of ??the capital economic circle, and the earliest independent trade in China. It is the port, China's largest aluminum product production and processing base, and the largest grain and oil processing base in the north. It is known as the "wheel manufacturing capital".
Qinhuangdao History and Culture:
Qinhuangdao is a cultural city that contains both the charm of an ancient capital and a modern flavor. It is one of the first batch of public cultural service system demonstration areas in the country. Mountain and sea culture, Great Wall culture, tourism culture, and folk culture have distinctive characteristics. Chinese and Western cultures blend together, and urban cultural imprints are everywhere.
The city has 619 officially registered immovable cultural relics, 11 national key cultural protection units, more than 5,000 cultural relics collections, and 97 registered intangible cultural heritage items, 5 of which are national-level. Twelve museums including the Great Wall Museum, Glass Museum, Port Museum, Beidaihe Museum, Roller Skating Museum, and Qinglong Ethnic Museum not only carry the city’s history and civilization, but also become a platform for exchanges with the world.
Qinhuangdao is known as the "Hometown of Great Wall Culture", "Hometown of Solitary Bamboo Culture", "Hometown of Blowing Songs", "Hometown of Folk Poetry", etc. Folk culture such as Changli Yangge and Funing percussion music continue to "go out", highlighting the regional cultural style.
Qinhuangdao holds festivals such as the Sea Viewing Prayer Festival, the Chinese Love Festival, and the Ocean Culture Festival every year. Large-scale live-action dramas such as "The Moon Over the Sea", "The Qin Emperor" and "The Great Song of Lone Bamboo" have their own styles. Cultural exchange activities with Russia, South Korea and other countries are becoming increasingly active.
