Introduction to Bailihuang tourist attractions

Alpine grassland tourist areas of Bai lihuang is located in the township of Yiling District, Yichang City, Hubei Province, with a total area of ??40 square kilometers. It is 55 kilometers away from the central city of Yichang and 50 kilometers away from the Three Gorges Dam. The dam is 78 kilometers long with an average altitude of 1,200 meters. Bailihuang got its name in ancient times because it was a deserted area with a radius of hundreds of miles.

The history of Bailihuang can be traced back to the fact that it was first identified as one of the nine natural landscapes in Yiling by Ouyang Xiu, Emperor Wenzong of the Song Dynasty and the magistrate of Yiling County at the time. In the "Laoting Station" in "Nine Odes of Yiling", there is a famous line "A few families gather together in the desolate smoke, and there is a field in the thin wilderness".

The Baili Wilderness is rich in animal and plant species. It was once the experimental base for the "Northern Sheep Breeding in the South" project of the country's southern grassland construction in the 1980s, and enjoys the reputation of "Southern China's grassland". In July 2003, Yichang Bailihuang Ecological Agricultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd. was established and Bailihuang was developed into a tourist area.

The altitude of Bailihuang is between 1,000 meters and 1,200 meters, with an average altitude of 1,100 meters and the highest peak of 1,297 meters above sea level. The annual average temperature is 9.9°C and the maximum temperature is 28°C, which is 6°C lower than the annual temperature in Yichang City.

Attraction Features

Visit the Hundred Miles of Wilderness in the spring, where wild flowers are fragrant; visit the Baili of the Wilderness in the summer, and enjoy the coolness every day; visit the Hundreds of Miles of Desert in the autumn, where cattle and sheep are everywhere; and visit the Baili of the Wilderness in the winter , natural ice and snow field. The hundreds of miles of wilderness in summer are full of green grass, flowers in bloom, and the rolling waves of grassland undulating under the white clouds, which makes people think a lot.

Different from the northern grassland, Bailihuang Grassland is a milk-peak grassland, with round milk-like lumps, one after another, and a valley belt between the milk peaks. Emerald green clover and thatch are strung across hundreds of peaks and valleys. When the wind blows, the green grass is like the rolling waves of a blue lake.

More than 100 "dwarf stone forests", 5,000 acres of "Huo Qi", 10 kilometers of red leaf galleries, and 10,000 acres of Huashan pine and Masson pine forests are unique to the Baili Wilderness Grassland. There are more than 200 kinds of trees and shrubs such as Huashan pine growing in Bailihuang, as well as more than 30 kinds of wild animals such as black bears and more than 50 kinds of birds such as golden pheasants. What is even more surprising is the "Dwarf Stone Forest" which is hundreds of miles away and filled with strange things.

These weird rocks are gray and white, shaped like skinny bones and withered roots. They look weird, like animals in various shapes, and are imaginable, forming a sharp contrast with the green grass. The stones are independent of each other. What is interesting is that although the stones are pointed and thin, they are not tall. The highest ones are less than 4 meters, and most of them are only about 1 meter.

The most concentrated "Dwarf Stone Forest" of Plum Blossom Pond covers an area of ??5 acres. The white stone forest piles, like a flock of sheep climbing straight from the foot of the mountain to the top, cover the entire mountain top, making it the largest stone forest landscape in Bailihuang.
