What should I pay attention to when I fly to Spain for the first time? Basically, what daily necessities should I bring?
I. Entry and customs requirements
1. Entry requires a valid visa or a residence permit in Spain, otherwise it will be repatriated by the original plane; Non-EU immigrants hold at least 5 13 euros in cash (or equivalent checks, credit cards, international money orders);
2. Do not carry contraband such as drugs;
3. The amount of duty-free articles allowed for each person to enter Spain shall not exceed 175 euros (1passenger over 5 years old) or 90 euros (/kloc-passenger under 5 years old). The restrictions of the following clauses are as follows:
(1)200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250g tobacco;
(2) 1 liter of spirits with alcohol content greater than 22 degrees or 2 liters of wine and alcoholic beverages with alcohol content less than 22 degrees;
(3) 50 grams of perfume or 0.25 liters of toilet water;
(4) 500g of regular coffee or 200g of espresso;
(5)100g of tea or 40g of concentrated tea.
4. In accordance with the provisions of the Washington Convention, bringing endangered wild animals and plants into or out of the country must obtain the permission of the relevant international trade organizations.
5. It is not allowed to carry counterfeit or pirated products. Once found, the customs has the right to detain them.
Two. Security situation
In recent years, the social security situation in Spain has deteriorated day by day, especially in Madrid, the capital, and Barcelona, the second largest city, where the crime rate remains high and robbery and theft cases occur frequently. In June 2003, a Greek tourist was stabbed to death in Madrid for resisting. Asian tourists and businessmen, including China citizens, are most likely to be the targets of thieves. From June 5 to September 2003, more than 50 citizens applied for new travel documents because they were robbed by the consular section of our embassy in the West.
Criminals are mostly immigrants from North Africa and Latin America, with dark skin color, mainly gangs, and most of them commit crimes in tourist attractions, railway stations and airports, underground passages in the city center and at the entrance of hotels; There are several ways to commit crimes: dressing up as a tourist and asking for directions with a map in his hand; ; Dressed as a plainclothes policeman to search for bags; Tell you that your clothes are dirty and kindly help; After deliberately puncturing the tire, he took the opportunity to steal luggage while assisting in replacement; Put your arms around your neck from your backpack, or put people in a coma with a handkerchief stained with chemicals; Dress up as a gypsy and sell you flowers and other small things.
In view of the above situation, I hereby propose the following safety precautions for my citizens in Spain:
(1) It is best to go out together and pay attention to whether there are suspicious people before and after;
(2) If it is not necessary, don't take your passport and air ticket with you when you go out; It is best to copy passports, airline tickets, etc. And store them separately from the original for reissue;
(3) Don't carry a lot of cash when you go out. If you need to carry cash, you should carry it scattered to avoid all cash being taken away at one time;
(4) Try not to carry purses, backpacks or purses. You can use ordinary plastic bags or shopping bags to carry necessary items, tea and drinks, which is less likely to cause gangsters to covet;
(5) If you are traveling alone, please remember your own safety when traveling by boat, and don't accept food or drinks from strangers. If you are in a sleeping car, lock the car at night and hang a door chain on it. Bags should be tied under your head, and valuables should be separated in clothes bags, not in the same leather bag or pocket.
(six) in case of armed robbers, generally do not resist, so as not to endanger life safety;
(7) Early in the morning, late at night or at lunch time (around 2 pm to 4 pm), because the police force is relatively weak, it is a favorable opportunity for criminals to commit crimes, so special attention should be paid to prevention.
If you are unfortunately robbed or stolen, our organization will handle it as follows:
(1) immediately report the case to the police station and issue a certificate, so as to apply for compensation from the insurance company and handle matters such as changing air tickets, passports and visas from other countries.
(2) When traveler's checks and credit cards are lost, stolen or robbed, you should immediately report the loss to the issuing bank or company and stop paying to prevent theft.
(3) If you need to reissue your travel documents, please contact the Embassy in Spain or the Consulate General in Barcelona immediately, and the staff will try their best to provide you with assistance.
