Huanglongxi Ancient Town 1

Huanglongxi ancient town is located in the southwest of Shuangliu District, Chengdu, about 40 kilometers away from Chengdu, where the two rivers meet. It is one of the top ten water towns in China with a history of 1700 years. A small stream in the town passes through the city, with ancient streets paved with red stones in the Ming and Qing Dynasties on both sides. The streets on both sides are integrated with ancient archways, temples and ancient houses in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, which are quiet and simple.

There are still three ancient temples in the town, namely Zhenjiang Temple, Chaoyin Temple and Gulong Temple, which are deep and tortuous. There are many shops on both sides of the street, shiny black doors and antique signs, which are full of ancient meaning. Most restaurants and pubs have a white wine flag floating in front of them, dancing in the wind to attract guests.

2. Luodai Ancient Town

Luodai Ancient Town is located in Longquanyi District, Chengdu, about 18km away from the urban area. The ancient town was founded in the Three Kingdoms period with a history of 1700 years. It is the best preserved Hakka ancient town in the suburbs of Chengdu, and is known as "the first Hakka town in western China". The streets of the ancient town are all bluestone roads, and the buildings on the streets are well-preserved Hakka style rafters.

The old street is in a pattern of "one street and seven lanes", with shops on both sides of the street. Visiting the Millennium ancient town, eating local snacks, drinking tea and playing mahjong in the teahouse facing the street, and feeling Hakka culture by the way have become one of the leisure choices for Chengdu citizens on weekends. In addition, there are Guangdong Guild Hall, Jiangxi Guild Hall, Huguang Guild Hall, North Sichuan Guild Hall and Hakka Museum in the town.

3. Jiezi Ancient Town

Jiezi Ancient Town is located at the foot of Fengqi Mountain in the northwest of chongzhou city, Chengdu, adjacent to Qingcheng Houshan and Jiulong Mountain, about 72 kilometers away from Chengdu. The ancient town was built in the post-Shu period of the Five Dynasties, with a history of 1000 years.

The beautiful scenery, antique temples, streets and houses here have preserved the strong charm of southwest towns in the Qing Dynasty and are known as "the back garden of Qingcheng".
