What are the procedures for mainland China to travel to Taiwan Province?

To travel to Taiwan Province, mainland residents must apply for two certificates and one endorsement to come to Taiwan freely:

1. Two certificates: Datong Certificate "Pass for Mainland Residents to and from Taiwan" and Taiwan Entry Certificate "Entry and Exit Permit for Taiwan Province Region of the Republic of China";

2. Endorsement: Taiwan Province Personal Travel Endorsement G (posted on the second page of Datong Card).

The application procedure for traveling to Taiwan Province is

1. Submit the Application Form for Mainland Residents to Travel to and from Taiwan Province, which is completely filled in and affixed with the applicant's photo (see the standard). For the first application, two additional photos with the same specifications must be submitted.

2. Submit the original ID card and household registration book of the applicant, and submit a copy. Applicants under the age of 16 only need to submit the household registration book.

3. Submit a list of group travel permits issued by a group travel agency with the qualification to travel to Taiwan.

4. The tour group leader's application certificate and endorsement shall be submitted to the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ where the tour group is located by the tour group agency, and the official letter issued by the tour group agency and the tour leader's card to Taiwan shall be submitted for inspection. Where the application is made in a different place, it shall be handled by the public security organ at the place where the examination and approval authority sends a letter to verify the relevant situation.

5. The national staff registered for filing must go through the examination and approval procedures in accordance with the organization and personnel management authority before submitting the application.

6. If the holder loses his/her certificate, he/she shall apply to the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ at the municipality directly under the Central Government or prefecture (city) level where the application was originally accepted, and submit the certificate issued by the police organ at the place where the certificate was reported lost.

7. If the validity period of the certificate is less than 6 months or the validity period of the endorsement applied for exceeds the validity period of the certificate, the internal pages of the certificate are used up. If the certificate is damaged, you must apply for renewal, and submit the original Permit for Mainland Residents to Travel to and from Taiwan Province. If the certificate is damaged, submit a certificate damage statement.

8. I submit the application to the entry-exit administration department, but the applicant is under 16 years old, accompanied by the guardian or the agent, and submit the original and photocopy of the guardian's ID card and the corresponding materials that can prove the guardianship relationship; Applicants who have reached the age of 7 may entrust their immediate family members or other guardians to act as agents, and must submit the power of attorney and the original and photocopy of the agent's ID card.

9. Applicants need to provide relevant information according to the requirements of group travel agencies to apply for "Taiwan Entry Permit".

Mainland residents going to Taiwan Province shall pass through the open or designated entry and exit ports with travel documents issued by the exit and entry administration departments of public security organs.
