Xiamen Travel Guide 2014

How many days does it take to travel? Tentatively decide on six days to one week?

On the first day, arrive at Xiamen Railway Station and check into a hotel (preferably along the BRT). If it’s still early, you can walk around and explore Xiamen city. If it’s late, recharge your batteries.

Depart from Gulangyu Island the next day (please book your ticket online in advance and get on the boat at Dongdu Cruise Terminal, a round trip costs 35 yuan per person, bring your ID card); after returning from Gulangyu Island in the afternoon, you can have something to eat near Zhongshan Road. Take the BRT back to the hotel.

On the third day, you can visit the Botanical Garden, Xiamen University, Hulishan Fort, Nanputuo, and Huandao Road to complete the island itinerary.

On the fourth day, take the BRT to Jiageng Stadium, transfer to L22 to the Dragon Boat Pond, and visit Jimei Aoyuan Scenic Area

On the fifth day, stop at Wucun Bus Station Take the Dazhan Express bus No. 756 to Dadeng Town, Battlefield Sightseeing Park, shopping, etc.

On the sixth day, renovate and buy local specialties (it is recommended to buy directly from the three major shopping malls near the train station. There is a specialty area
