Travel agency internship experience

In 2014, at the call of the school, in order to improve my abilities in all aspects, deepen my understanding of society, and further consolidate and understand the knowledge learned in the classroom, I came to Changzhou Huaxia International Travel Agency to start an internship. . (October 14th - December 31st)

xx International Travel Agency was established in 2001. The company is headquartered in the center of Changzhou. It is a professional travel agency approved by the National Tourism Administration and adopts modern enterprise management. As a model, we focus on the organic combination of talents and management, and use the principle of people fulfilling their responsibilities and talents to create a group of high-quality and experienced managers and service standard and well-trained tour guides and salesmen. At the same time, the company maintains good cooperative relations with civil aviation, railways, tourist fleets, hotels and other related departments. It adheres to the business philosophy of "I have what others don't have, I have innovations when others have them, and I am good to others". Coupled with strict management and honest management Operation and high-quality service have enabled our company to make its debut in the Changzhou tourism market and win 90% of repeat customers.

This is the first time that I have integrated into society and set foot on the job. I have started a completely different life from the past, and I have gained a lot during this period.

1/ Gains from working at the front desk: When working at the front desk, you must be appropriate in your conversation and behavior when talking about travel routes with guests, because the first impression the guest has on you is very important. It is a good prerequisite to get guests to trust you in a short period of time and then participate in your team work. In my opinion, the first thing is to smile and make the guests feel a sense of intimacy; the second thing is to always take the guest’s perspective as the starting point when introducing the route and cater to their preferences; the third thing is to introduce the outings in a way that Explain local consumption conditions, customs, precautions, etc. to guests in a timely manner. In front desk reception and service work, you must not only master the route process, but also know how to explore the psychology of guests and other techniques.

2. Gains from the work of a tour guide: Although I did not lead a group out, I still followed the group as an intern tour guide to learn from other people’s strengths and experiences, gain an in-depth understanding of the work of the tour guide, and learn from experience and lessons. Summarize and lay the foundation for future work. First, when working as a ground tour guide, you must take good care of not only the young but also the older tourists during the group tour. You must care about the tourists at all times. In the event of an accident, you must put the interests of the guests first. One, considerate service. Second, in the work of full service, we must better handle the relationship between full service and tourists, and put tourists as the center at all times, so that tourists can trust you more and make tourists feel more relaxed and happy. When traveling abroad, since the scenic spots are all explained on the ground, the escort's job is to take good care of the guests. From going out to play in the morning to checking into the hotel in the evening, they must care about and pay attention to the safety of the guests, and communicate with the guests more to understand their needs. Put the interests of guests and travel agencies first. In the final analysis, tour guides, as members who live with guests, must reflect the quality of tour guides and the purpose of service first. After all, we are engaged in a service industry.

3. Gains from other aspects of the process: This internship further enhanced my ability to deal with people and talk to others. I learned knowledge not found in books, trained myself and increased my ability. social experience.

We also mastered necessary travel knowledge, such as: tour guide service quality standards, travel agency management regulations, temporary regulations on travel accident insurance for travel agencies, precautions for traveling to Hong Kong and Macao, rules and regulations for traveling by air, and rules for children traveling by train. Preferential treatment, what to do in the event of an accident, personal passport application, tourist accommodation instructions, how to take photos in the cave, railway passenger instructions, "no photography" at cultural relics attractions, etc.

What’s more important is that my communication skills have been greatly improved and I can handle all aspects of relationships well. What I feel most deeply about myself is:

1. Be sincere in treating others< /p>

When I first entered the company, all I saw were unfamiliar faces, everything around me was unfamiliar, and I always felt uneasy. I smiled and greeted them. Everyone was kind and easy to get along with. From that day on, I developed a habit of saying "morning" or "good morning" with a smile every morning when I see them. That is a sincere greeting from the bottom of my heart. I always feel that there are often subtle things that are easily overlooked by us, such as a gentle greeting, but it expresses care for colleagues and friends, and also makes others feel valued and cared for. In just a few days, I got along well with my colleagues, and the thing I was worried about becoming a "transparent person" didn't happen at all. I think it was my sincerity that gained the trust of my colleagues. They treat me as a friend and are willing to assign work to me.

2. Be good at communication

Communication is an important skill and ability that must be used skillfully at all times. To get to know someone, you must first remember their name. To understand a person requires in-depth communication. And you have to take the initiative to do all of this. In terms of communication and expression, I think it is my weak point. I think I still have a lot to practice and a lot to do.

3. Have enthusiasm and confidence

In fact, no matter what industry you are in, enthusiasm and confidence are indispensable. Enthusiasm makes us passionate about work and willing to strive for the same goal; patience makes us treat work meticulously, strive to do every detail well, and strive for excellence. Only when passion and patience are complementary and promoted can the most beautiful sparks be produced and work can be accomplished.

4. Take the initiative

When you have a choice, take the initiative in your own hands. I think many people, like me, did "chores" like copying and typing when they first entered the internship unit. Maybe your colleagues think that you are a junior and should start with small things, but sometimes it is because they don’t know what you can do. I feel that doing "chores" is a necessity for work. Some things cannot be chosen. It is a process that everyone must go through. Some things cannot be chosen, but some things can be chosen. Of course, you must complete your job seriously, but bravely "asking for help" can win you more opportunities. As long as you ask, study, and do diligently, you will have unexpected gains.

5. Be organized

If you don’t want to be in a hurry in an emergency, you must develop a good habit of being organized. The same goes for other jobs. Being organized can help you get twice the result with half the effort. A very accomplished person in the field of American television told this story: When he was a department manager, the president was surprised that he could handle the mountains of letters every day, while the desks of other managers were always messy and full of letters. He said, "Although there are a lot of letters every day, I sort them by urgency and importance and deal with them one by one." The president then extended this practice to the entire company, and the operations of the entire company became orderly and efficiency improved. Developing a good habit of being organized can benefit us a lot at work.

This period of internship in a travel agency has benefited me a lot. This internship allowed me to discover the gap between the knowledge in books and practical problems, and I have a deeper understanding and understanding of the travel agency industry. experience. During this period, I realized the intensity of competition between travel agencies and between people in the tourism industry. The talents needed in a service industry like the tourism industry not only require certain professional knowledge, but also require you to know how to deal with and treat others, as well as be patient and responsible for travel agency customers. More importantly, in the actual process, I really discovered that my knowledge was shallow and my experience was lacking. I felt that the theoretical knowledge I learned in school and my practice at work were not actually the same concept. I think this This is also the reason why the school allows us to intern in the final year, so that we can further consolidate and understand the knowledge learned in the classroom, cultivate and improve students' abilities, and integrate theory with practice. I think the most important thing in the practice link is to integrate theory with practice. It improves our ability to investigate and research, observe problems, analyze problems and solve problems, and cultivate college students' ability to survive in society.

This is the first time I have participated in social practice. I understand that social practice for college students is a good way to guide our students out of school, go to society, contact society, understand society, and join society; effective way of thinking. By participating in social practice activities, it helps our college students update their concepts and absorb new ideas and knowledge. This year's social practice has passed by in a flash, but I have learned a lot from it, and these things will benefit me throughout my life. Social practice has deepened my relationship with people from all walks of life, narrowed the distance between me and society, and allowed me to broaden my horizons and grow my talents in social practice, further clarifying the path to success and the responsibilities of our young students. historical mission. Society is the big classroom for learning and education. In that vast world, our life value has been reflected, laying a more solid foundation for more intense competition in the future.

Tao Yuanming once said: "The prime years will never come again, and the morning will never come again. It is timely to encourage yourself, and time waits for no one."

"I will not let time pass by, seize every day now and strive for a better future!
