Where is Taihe?

Taihe County is located in the northwest of Anhui Province, in the hinterland of Huanghuai Plain, between Fuyang and Bozhou, with an area of 1.822 square kilometers and a population of 1.627 million.

Taihe has a long history. It belongs to the territory of ancient Yu. It is a deer in the Spring and Autumn Period and a new one in the Warring States Period. Since the Qin Dynasty, it has been a county. Since then, the county government has been moved several times, and the county names have been changed several times, including Xinyang, Xiyang, Angelababy, Wanshou and Taihe. In the eighth year of Dade in Yuan Dynasty (A.D. 1304), the county government moved here, changed "Tai" to "Tai", and took the meaning of "keeping peace with Tai and benefiting chastity" in Xiangci. Here, there are excellent people and talented people. Fan Pang, the ambassador of the Eastern Han Dynasty, made a sound broadcast in the sea, ranking among the top eight. Liu Zhixin, the leader of Anbaili School during the reign of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, and Xu Guangjin, the governor of Guangdong and Guangxi during the reign of Daoguang were among them, and they were famous in history. Scenic spots and historical sites, mud mounds all over the country, ruins of seven ancient cities, and Confucian temple buildings built in the Yuan Dynasty all record the ancient civilization of Taihe.
