How long does it take to apply for a European visa in Changchun and make an appointment for a Schengen visa?

A Schengen visa refers to a visa issued in accordance with the Schengen Agreement. It was given this name because it was signed in Schengen, Luxembourg. According to the Schengen Agreement, you only need to apply for a Schengen visa for one country (usually the ordinary C category, while D category only allows entry to the countries specified in the visa), and you can travel unimpeded in all Schengen countries.

Before applying for a Schengen visa, you need to know the following 8 things:

1. Schengen countries ≠ EU countries ≠ Euro countries, there is only partial overlap between the three of them. There are currently 26 Schengen countries, including: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Malta;

2. The Schengen visa is very useful. Not only can you go to all the Schengen countries above, but you can also go to other countries in the world. Some countries stipulate that holders of a valid Schengen visa can enter without a visa;

3. If you go to several Schengen countries at the same time, which country's embassy should you apply for a Schengen visa? The usual rule is: apply for a Schengen visa at the embassy of the country where you stay the longest; if the length of stay is the same, apply for the Schengen visa at the country of first entry; if you only go to one country, of course apply for the Schengen visa at the embassy of that country; done If you have a Schengen visa in your country, don’t avoid this country.

4. It is best to apply for a Schengen visa that allows multiple entries. Otherwise, you can only travel within the Schengen countries and cannot transfer to non-Schengen countries and return to Schengen countries; therefore, when filling out the application form You must choose multiple entries;

5. Schengen visas may not be applicable to overseas territories of Schengen countries. For example, if you want to go to an overseas territory of France, you must apply for a separate visa;

6. When applying for a Schengen visa for the first time, you need to enter photos and fingerprints (ten fingers), so you must go in person. If you need to apply for a Schengen visa again within 59 months, you do not need to enter it again. In other words, within 59 months after applying for a Schengen visa for the first time, you can entrust an agent to apply for it. For details, please refer to the requirements of the visa centers of each country. Usually, a power of attorney, the original ID card of the principal and its copy are required;

7. If your visa application fails, you will have an opportunity to appeal.
