What is the difference between a tourist visa and a work visa?
Tourist visa is a kind of visa, which is generally a quick visa application method to develop tourism resources and facilitate tourists.
Work visas are for foreign workers who come to their own countries.
2. The processing requirements are different:
Work visa generally requires: employment permit, invitation letter for work, employment permit, 1 year residence permit, etc.
Tourist visa requirements: to apply for an individual tourist visa, you must provide an official letter from the reception unit; If there is no reception unit, you must provide economic proof that can guarantee the living expenses in China. Group tourist visa applications will not be accepted in principle. Due to force majeure, you can apply for a zero-time group visa with the validity corresponding to the actual situation, and you can only apply once, and you must provide an official letter from the reception unit.

Before the employer intends to hire foreigners to work in China, it shall apply for a foreigner employment permit. An employing unit that is allowed to employ foreigners shall present a foreigner employment certificate issued by the administrative department of labor security;
Foreigners who are allowed to come to China for employment should apply for a professional visa to China embassies and consulates abroad on the basis of the license issued by the labor department, the letter and telegram of the authorized unit and their valid passports or certificates that can replace passports;
The employing unit shall, within fifteen days after the entry of a foreigner who has obtained a professional visa, go to the Labor and Social Security Bureau with relevant materials to handle the Alien Employment Certificate for the foreigner. Foreigners who have obtained employment permits should apply to the public security department for residence permits within 30 days after entering the country.

Foreigners' visas should be applied to the Exit-Entry Administration Office of the Municipal Bureau, and I will apply in person. Among them, relatives can be represented by their relatives in China; Group tourists can be handled by the reception travel agency; Doctors can be handled by relatives or reception units.
Foreigners who want to travel to China need to apply for a tourist (L) visa from China embassies and consulates abroad. Those who come to China in the form of a group of 9 or more people can apply for a group tour (L) visa. Foreigners going to Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Xiamen Special Economic Zones may apply directly to the above-mentioned port visa authorities for a "Special Zone Tourist Visa".
Those who stay in Hainan Province for business, tourism or visiting relatives for less than fifteen days may apply for temporary entry visas at Haikou or Sanya Port. Foreigners from Hong Kong do not need to apply for an entry visa to visit Shenzhen Special Economic Zone for 72 hours.
