The origin of tourism

On July 5, 1841, Thomas Cook organized a group tour in the form of a chartered train, which was recognized by the world as an epoch-making tour. This is where modern tourism began.

In 1845, Thomas Cook Travel Agency was officially opened for business in Leicester, England. This was the world's first travel agency and marked the birth of modern tourism.

Leicester is the hometown of Mara in "The Blue Bridge"!
