According to the "Tour Guide "Personnel Management Regulations", the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Tourism Bureau announced the following matters regarding the 2015 Tour Guide Qualification Examination:

1. Registration conditions

(1) Academic requirements: Apply for the Tour Guide Qualification Examination , a high school degree or above is required.

(2) Household registration requirements: Household registration in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

(3) Age requirement: 18 years of age or older as of December 4, 2015.

(4) Quality requirements; citizens of the People’s Republic of China with basic knowledge and language expression skills that meet the needs of tour guides.

2. Registration method and time

(1) The tourism bureaus of each league city and banner county are responsible for organizing local personnel to register, conduct preliminary qualification review, and fill in the "2015 Autonomous Region Tour Guide Qualifications" Exam Registration Form". The registration period is from August 10 to September 20, 2015.

(2) The registration point of the Autonomous Region Tourism Bureau is located at the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Tourism Training Center. Location: No. 95, Art Hall South Street, Xincheng District, Hohhot City (east of Inner Mongolia Hotel).

(3) Registration-related information

For the preliminary qualification review, you need to bring the original household register, ID card, and academic certificate, and keep a copy.

3. Examination and examination administration

(1) Examination method

The 2015 autonomous region tour guide qualification examination adopts unified propositions for the entire region, and the examination adopts a closed-book written examination method .

(2) Examination Subjects

The Tour Guide Qualification Examination is divided into Chinese and foreign language tour guides. The examination subjects for Chinese tour guides are "Policies and Regulations", "Tour Guide Business" and "Tour Guide Basics"; there are two languages ??for foreign language tour guides: English and Russian. If you have obtained the Chinese tour guide qualification certificate and apply for the foreign language tour guide exam, you only need to take an additional test in English or Russian.

Before October 30, 2015, applicants can get their admission tickets from the Tourism Bureau of each league city. The verification period for admission ticket information is from November 1st to 25th.

(5) Exam results announced

On January 5, 2016, the results of the 2015 autonomous region tour guide qualification examination were announced. Candidates can check on the e-government website of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Tourism Bureau, the Tourism Bureau of each league city and the websites established by each league city.

(6) Issuance of Qualification Certificates

Candidates with a score of 60 or above in each subject will be deemed to have passed. Before March 15, 2016, national junior tour guide qualification certificates will be issued uniformly.

IV. Examination fees and teaching materials

According to the fee standards approved by the Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission, the Autonomous Region Tourism Bureau charges a tour guide qualification examination fee of 50 yuan per person per subject. It mainly includes examination room rental fees, invigilation fees, proposition fees, test paper printing fees and marking fees.

The teaching materials for junior tour guides are priced at 120 yuan/set. Please contact the tourism bureaus of each league city and the autonomous region tourism training center to purchase the required teaching materials.
