1. Yan Yangchu’s former residence in Dingzhou

Yan Yangchu’s former residence is diagonally opposite Dingzhou Middle School on Zhongshan East Road, Dingzhou. It is a typical northern-style residence. There is not a monument in front of the door. The bright paint on the building will make passers-by ignore it and ignore it. Yan Yangchu was from Bazhong, Sichuan, and his old residence in Dingzhou was where he lived during the "Poor Education Movement". The entire old residence faces south and faces north. It is a courtyard with a main house and east and west wings.

2. Kaiyuan Temple Pagoda in Dingzhou

Kaiyuan Temple Pagoda is located on the east side of the south gate of Dingzhou City. It is the tallest existing ancient brick and wood structure pagoda in the world. It was built in 1055. The tower is entirely of brick and wood structure, with an octagonal plane, thirteen floors, and a height of 84.2 meters. The plane is composed of two staggered squares. Well proportioned and beautiful in appearance. The tower has four front doors and false windows with carved geometric window lattice on the other four sides. There are steps on each floor of the tower, and an octagonal corridor is formed between the two floors.

3. Beizhuangzi Han Tomb Stone Carving Museum

There is a forest of steles in Dingzhou, also known as the Dingzhou Stone Carving Museum. There is also a Han tomb, which is more than 1,700 years old. The Han Dynasty Tomb is located in the Forest of Steles courtyard. In other words, a forest of steles was built around the Han tomb. Walking into the Stele Forest courtyard, dozens of tall cypress trees block out the sun and the sky. There is a small three-bay exhibition room in Yingmen. The exhibits on display introduce the history of the Zhongshan Kingdom in the Han Dynasty when it established its capital in Dingzhou and some cultural relics unearthed from the tombs of the Shan kings in Han Zhongshan.
