Yueyan Temple in Dongping County is located in yinshan town, Dongping County, Tai 'an City. It is a place where Buddhist monks in Han Dynasty can live.

It was built in the great cause of Sui Dynasty, 608-6 18, and rebuilt in 938 during the reign of Emperor Shengzong of Liao Dynasty. According to the inscription in the temple, it was repaired in the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Before liberation, Yueyan Temple was full of incense and frequent Buddhist activities, with 167 monks living there. At most, there are 2 19 people, and there are tens of thousands of Buddhist believers around. Social influence is great.

The restored Yueyan Temple covers an area of 7,000 square meters. Inside the temple, there are Daxiong Hall, East and West Wing, Zhaitang, Sanmiao, Liao Fang, guest rooms and other facilities. Outside the temple, there are tombs, pagodas and parking lots. At present, there are 9 monks living in Yunyou Temple, and every first day, 15th day or major Buddhist festivals. 3,000 believers entered the temple for Buddhist activities.
