Introduction to Xin'anjiang

The Xin'an River, also known as Huigang, is the upper reaches of the main stream of the Qiantang River system. It originates from Xiuning County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province, enters the west of Zhejiang Province in the east, passes through Chun'an to Jiande and merges with Lanjiang River. The main stream of the Qiantang River, the Tongjiang Section and the Fuchun River Section, flows into the Qiantang River from the northeast and is the main source of the Qiantang River. The main stream is 373 kilometers long and the drainage area is more than 11,000 square kilometers. Xin'an River is rich in water resources, and there are two reservoirs, Fengle and Xin'an River, in the basin. Before liberation, its shipping ran directly from Tunxi to Hangzhou. After liberation, the reservoir cut off the route and shipping almost came to a standstill. Xin'anjiang is famous for its beautiful water. Along the river there are Baisha Bridge, Zhuchi, Luofeng Mountain, Qiandao Lake, Meicheng, Liu Changqing's Villa, Twin Towers Lingyun, Xin'anjiang Reservoir and other scenic spots. As a national-level scenic spot, Xin'anjiang has always been known as "unique mountains and rivers, unique in the world".
