The role of developing Qinghai-Tibet tourism on local culture

The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau has high terrain and unique landscape. Tibetan culture is integrated with the vast snowfields. The sacred mountains and waters are natural and mysterious, and there is great hope for developing tourism. Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is the main inhabited area and border area of Tibetans in China. Accelerating the development of tourism is of great significance for prospering the border and enriching the people. Based on a large number of practical investigations, this paper deeply analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of tourism in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, discusses the opportunities and challenges faced by the sustainable development of tourism in this area, points out the objectives, principles and countermeasures of tourism development in this area, and puts forward the market image positioning and marketing strategy. Strengthen cooperation with surrounding areas, vigorously cultivate the tourism market, take the Qinghai-Tibet railway construction and the reconstruction of Sichuan-Tibet and Yunnan-Tibet highways as an opportunity, strengthen the construction of tourism infrastructure, and accelerate the construction of snow scenes and ethnic cultural tourism products on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Pay attention to environmental protection, cultural relics protection and cultural diversity protection and avoid blind modernization.
