I am going to Jinan in August and need help
I am from Jinan. First of all, I welcome you to visit Jinan.
Jinan is cooler in August, which is perfect for traveling.
Jinan has three major scenic spots: Qianfo Mountain, Daming Lake, and Baotu Spring. It is a scenic spot that foreigners cannot miss, but to be honest, the tickets for these three places are relatively expensive, seemingly 40 yuan each. Daming Lake is open to citizens with local Jinan ID cards for free before 6:30 in the morning. The same cannot be said for people.
If you want to see the spring water, of course you can’t miss the "No. 1 Spring in the World" Baotu Spring.
Just take bus No. 3 from the train station and get off at Quancheng Square, or you can also stop by Take a walk around the "Big Living Room" Quancheng Square. Take bus No. 5 at the long-distance bus station and get off at Quancheng Square.
If you want to see the lake, you have to see "Daming Lake, surrounded by lotuses and three willows, a city full of mountains." You can take bus No. 11 at the train station and get off at the "Southwest Gate of Daming Lake."
I haven’t been to Qianfo Mountain for many years, and I don’t know much about it.
Wulongtan is also a good place. The entrance fee is only 5 yuan. It is a bit like the Lingering Garden in Suzhou. It is very small, but there are springs flowing on the ground, surrounded by rockeries, and there are many cherry blossom trees. Unfortunately, you can’t see them now. The cherry blossoms are blooming. Wulongtan is also the former residence of Qin Qiong, with profound historical and cultural heritage. There is also a small Guandi Temple nearby. There is no admission fee. There are inscriptions from the Qing Dynasty, which is worth a visit. Wulongtan is very close to Daming Lake and Baotu Spring, and can be reached by Route 3 or Route 5. There is a Wal-Mart supermarket nearby, and everything is cheap and complete.
I highly recommend you some fun places that don’t cost money.
1. Huancheng Park
Take bus No. 5 at "Tianqiao South" near the train station and get off at Heihu Spring. It is a promenade along the river with famous springs all over the river. , there are the roaring Black Tiger Spring, the gentle Pipa Spring, and the unique Pipa Bridge. People from Jinan come here to fetch water from Black Tiger Spring every day. There is a special water inlet where you can drink water directly. Remember to bring an empty drink bottle.
2. Jiefang Pavilion
At the end of Huancheng Park, you will see an ancient tower, that is Jiefang Pavilion. Climbing up the stairs, you can overlook the scenery of Quancheng, or you can Go into the showroom to look at the precious cultural relics of the Battle of Jinan. These are free.
3. Minghu Old Street
At the south gate of Daming Lake, there is a street directly facing it called Qushuiting Street, and further in is Houzaimen Street. These two The streets are all the old streets and alleys with the most characteristics of Quancheng. They have the flavor of a Jiangnan water town. I personally think they are more valuable to visit than Daming Lake and Baotu Spring. That area is full of old streets and alleys, you can spend more time exploring. There are also Ma Shi Street, Chief Secretary Street, and County West Alley. They are all old streets and alleys. There are 72 famous springs hidden in some inconspicuous alleys. PS There is a lotus pond opposite the south gate of Daming Lake. The TV series "Swallow Li San" was filmed there. The European-style building behind it is a Christian church.
4. Commercial port area
Jinan City was the first provincial capital city in China to open its own commercial port 103 years ago, so it has a commercial port area that combines Chinese and Western styles. The train station is on Jingyi Road, This longitude and latitude is the location of the commercial port area. You can take a walk and have a look. There are many Western-style buildings and churches there, which are very German-style. Some time-honored brands are located here, such as Ruifuxiang, etc. Unfortunately, they are now in decline. I can introduce it in detail when you come.
As for accommodation, be sure not to live near the train station. It is expensive and unsafe, and there is often a phenomenon of rip-offs. There are many Home Inns or Seven Days Inn in Jinan, and they are not very expensive. , and it is a national chain, very formal. Some places are cheap and not far from the train station. I just don’t know for sure because you can get there on foot and don’t need to take a bus. I’ll tell you when I think about it.
In terms of food, Jinan’s famous food is Youxuan. There is a famous “Youxuan Zhang” in Daguanyuan (less than two stops south from the train station along Dawei 2nd Road). The name of the restaurant was inscribed by Ji Xianlin. Every year, Ji Xianlin’s family, students, and friends buy youxuan from him (see related reports in Qilu Evening News). The price is 1 yuan per piece, which is more expensive than other places, but you can try it. There are many food vendors around Grand View Garden, and eating in Jinan is relatively cheap.
In terms of transportation, there is no bicycle rental in Jinan. However, Jinan's public transportation has developed rapidly in recent years. Taking a bus during rush hours is faster than taking a taxi. There are many buses in the city center and can reach anywhere. There are 33 buses near the train station. Bus lines pass. So you don’t have to worry about transportation. Generally, the bus fare is 1 yuan, and the K series is 2 yuan. BRT currently has three lines, which are luxury buses, but the fare is 1 yuan, and transfers are free midway. Some buses running in suburban areas are not marked with K, but the fare is 2-3 yuan. Please pay attention to the stop signs. PS: Don’t listen to the people riding three-wheelers around the train station to solicit customers. They are very good at deceiving outsiders. In short, Jinan buses are convenient and fast, highly recommended. You can go to the Jinan Bus Network to check the routes first, but now road construction has caused many buses to change their routes. It is best to ask before you take the bus.
Special reminder, don’t buy things in the shops around train stations and long-distance bus stations, especially don’t use 100.50 yuan to buy things worth ten or eight yuan. The boss will do “magic” and give you less change. Money! And shopping there is very expensive. Don't take a taxi at the train station, they will charge more.
I feel like I haven’t finished talking yet. There are many fun, cheap and even free places. You can contact me again.
Wish you a pleasant journey.
