How was the underwater ancient city of Qiandao Lake formed? What is the history of the ancient underwater city?
The underwater ancient city of Qiandao Lake is a "submerged ancient city", located in Chun 'an County, Zhejiang Province. Qiandao Lake has long been famous at home and abroad. The construction of this reservoir began at 1959. At that time, in order to build this water conservancy project, Zhejiang merged the original Chun 'an County and Sui 'an County into Chun 'an County, and 290,000 people immigrated from there. After the completion of the reservoir, 27 surrounding towns, 1000 villages, 300,000 mu of fertile land and thousands of houses quietly sank to the bottom of Qiandao Lake.
The "Lion City" and "he cheng", which began in the Han and Tang Dynasties, were submerged under this blue wave overnight.
He cheng was founded in 208 AD. Under the ancient coin-shaped "Shang"-shaped porch, pieces of Huizhou mansions were built according to the flow. Another lion city is named after Wushi Mountain in the north of Sui 'an County. This city has been under the jurisdiction of Sui 'an County since the Tang Dynasty, and was called "Little Tianfu in West Zhejiang" in ancient times. These two ancient cities were once the hubs of Shang Hui Road along the Xin 'an River.
Half a century later, Xin 'anjiang Hydropower Station gradually retreated to the East China standby power station and gradually faded out of people's sight, followed by the reputation of Qiandao Lake as a tourist attraction. It is difficult to find a complete ancient city pool on land after historical events such as "breaking the four old buildings" and rebuilding the old city. Thousand-year-old underwater city Qiandao Lake was remembered at this time.
Under Qiandao Lake, there are two thousand-year-old cities sleeping: he cheng and Lion City. According to historical records such as Annals of Chun 'an County, in June of 5438+0955, the then Ministry of Electric Power Industry built Xin 'anjiang Hydropower Station at Tongguan, the junction of Chun 'an and Jiande. On September 2 1, 1959, the Xin' an River was cut off and the reservoir area began to store water. Since then, these two historic counties in western Zhejiang have quietly "sunk" into the bottom of Qiandao Lake. 20 1 1654381on October 7th, the ancient city was rated as a provincial cultural relics protection zone. 20 1 1 In February, China National Geographic magazine published a group of exquisite photos of ancient underwater cities, which once again ignited the enthusiasm of all walks of life to pay attention to ancient underwater cities.
1959, in order to build Xin 'anjiang Hydropower Station, the largest water control project at that time, the former Chun 'an County and Sui 'an County of Zhejiang Province merged into Chun 'an County, and 290,000 people moved out of their homes. Two ancient cities, Shicheng and he cheng, which lasted for thousands of years, together with 27 towns, 1000 villages, 300,000 mu of fertile land and thousands of houses, quietly sank.
The ancient city of Chun 'an, also known as he cheng, was founded in 208 AD. Huizhou House under the elaborate "Shang"-shaped portico in the shape of an ancient coin shows the prosperity and wealth of this Huizhou merchant hub on Xin 'an River. Throughout the ages, there are many literati here, famous artists and cultural relics everywhere.
The history of Sui 'an is later than that of Chun 'an. According to records, Sui 'an County moved to Sui 'an boundary in the fourth year of Wude in Tang Dynasty (AD 62 1 year), and it was also called the Lion City because it was backed by Wushi Mountain.
Lion City, with convenient land and water transportation, is an important town in western Zhejiang. Hong Rengan, Hong Xiuquan's brother, once led the Taiping Army stationed in the north gate. There are many places of interest in the Lion City, including ancient pagodas, memorial archways, Yuemiao, Chenghuang Temple, Zhonglie Bridge, Wushi Academy and ancient tombs.
In the eyes of many cultural relics protection experts, the "flooded Chun 'an City" was quite hasty. It stands to reason that before the reservoir is built, it is necessary to "clear the reservoir", raze the building, remove the garbage and relocate and protect the cultural relics. According to historical records, before the storage of Xin 'anjiang Reservoir, people's houses in two local counties were required to be leveled, destroyed and disinfected, and he cheng was basically destroyed. At that time, there was such a slogan: "Bring more new ideas and less old furniture."
The old man who moved out of the ancient city recalled, "The Lion City is far from the dam. People in the city didn't expect the water to come so soon, and it was too late to move. " Therefore, it is generally believed that the ancient lion city is basically intact.
It is learned from Qiandao Lake Tourism Bureau in Chun 'an County that Archimedes Bridge, the world's first underwater suspension tunnel, is located in Wulong Island Scenic Area, not in the ancient underwater city. The Institute of Mechanics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, which is in charge of this project test, is in the experimental stage.
According to reports, the so-called underwater suspension tunnel means that the tunnel is placed underwater and fixed by the buoyancy of water. The underwater sightseeing corridor is made of special materials and the tunnel exits are all on the shore. Because the water body of Qiandao Lake is relatively calm and less affected by typhoon, the underwater suspension tunnel is chosen in Qiandao Lake.
According to Yu Tao, Director of Planning Department of Qiandao Lake Tourism Bureau in Chun 'an County, the underwater suspension tunnel in Wulong Island Scenic Area will connect Bird Island and Kistler Island, with a total length of less than 1000 meters, which will be used for sightseeing in shallow waters. At that time, visitors can see the clear underwater world of Qiandao Lake through the underwater tunnel. If the experiment of Wulong Island is successful, it is possible to try the ancient underwater city.
