Is Changbai Mountain closed in winter?

Since 2006, Changbai Mountain has bid farewell to mountain closure in winter. Matters needing attention in climbing Changbai Mountain in winter:

In winter, the temperature in Changbai Mountain is much lower than that in the same latitude area, especially in windy mountainous areas. Therefore, we must be fully prepared for the cold (down jacket, snow shoes, sunglasses, gloves) to protect the exposed face.

1. Wear down jacket, hat, scarf, gloves, cover your face as much as possible, and bring warm stickers, hot treasures and other heating supplies to keep out the cold.

2. Warm and non-slip shoes are very important. Visitors can choose non-slip and moisture-proof snow boots, and never buy hard plastic soles. Hard plastics will become hard and brittle at low temperature and slip easily.

In winter, Changbai Mountain is covered with snow, which is also the highest place in the area, so the direct sunlight is very strong, and it will shake your eyes when reflected into the snow. Therefore, it is best to prepare a pair of sunglasses.

In the snowy season, it is best to put on boots or prepare leg covers to connect shoes and trousers, otherwise it is easy to pour snow.
