Ten scenic spots in Tengchong

1, Rehai Tengchong is rich in geothermal resources and is one of the three hot fields in China. The land under your feet is covered with sleeping volcanoes and spewing hot springs. Walking into the Rehai Scenic Area, the sulphur-smelling water vapor is filled, and unique geothermal hot springs such as Toad Mouth, Xianren Bridge, Pearl Spring, Gu Mingquan, Huaitaijing and Rehai Dagunguo Scenic Resort Scenic Area gush out. The highest water temperature can reach 80 degrees.

Heshun Ancient Town is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in Yunnan. More than 600 years of history gave birth to this extremely old town, where multi-cultures blend and have a profound cultural heritage and historical atmosphere. Archways, ancestral temples and ancient houses in the Ming and Qing Dynasties spread all over the ancient town, as if returning to the era of slow chariots and horses.

3. Ginkgo Village has entered a fairy tale world with yellow leaves falling when it has entered winter or even snowed in most parts of the country. Due to the low latitude, autumn in Tengchong comes later, and1late autumn is from the end of October to February. The villages on the border of western Yunnan with more than 3,000 connected ancient ginkgo trees have entered the most beautiful time of the year.

4. beihai wetland, the only plateau volcano dammed lake wetland in the world, is surrounded by mountains and flowers bloom all year round. Every year in mid-April, Beihai orchids are the most blooming and beautiful time in Beihai. In winter, there are migratory birds everywhere, which has become a good season for bird watching.

5. Gaoligong Mountain is known as "World Natural Museum" and "World Species Gene Bank", and it is the most primitive forest reserve in Yunnan. Gaoligong Mountain has a typical vertical natural landscape belt with a vertical height difference of 4000 meters, high mountains and deep valleys, and a very complicated climate, which contains all kinds of rare plants that have never been seen before.

6. Volcanic Geothermal National Geopark. Tens of millions of years ago, Eurasia collided with India and Pakistan, forming volcanic geothermal and Gaoligong Mountain. There are more than 90 volcanoes sleeping in Tengchong. Mainly dormant volcanoes, such as Dakong Mountain, Xiaokongshan and Heikongshan. Both Dakong Mountain and Kong Xiaoshan have climbing steps, which you can walk up and down, and the notch on the top of the mountain is clearly visible.

7. Dieshuihe Waterfall, the only urban waterfall in China, is located in the urban area of Tengchong City, Yunnan Province. As high as 46 meters, the waterfall flows to the bottom of the valley and then overflows the stone steps, giving people a waterfall-like feeling, hence the name Dieshui River Waterfall. In Tengchong in summer, it rains for a long time, and the water flow in Dieshui River Waterfall is bigger.

8, Longchuan River drifting, although drifting, but Longchuan River is not as fast as expected, very suitable for family travel. Sitting on a small bamboo raft or rubber boat and drifting slowly on the Longchuan River, the pastoral scenery on both sides will not disappoint. Located in Jiawan, Qushi Forest, Qushi Yongji Bridge, with a total length of 5.20 kilometers. The current is gentle, the beach has rapids but not rough, and the river flows all the year round.

9. The Wa village in Simola, which means "happy place", has a history of more than 500 years and still maintains its original ecology. Fortunately, this place was just excavated in 2020, and there are not many tourists. The village is still inhabited by local aborigines.
