Where is the Oran Islands?

Oran Islands, also known as Ahvennamma Islands, is the only autonomous province in Finland. It is located at the southern end of the Gulf of Botnia between Sweden and Finland, and consists of 6,554 small islands, covering an area of 59 square miles. The Gulf of Botnia is the land part of the Baltic Sea extending into the northern shore. At its entrance, more than 8 larger islands are inhabited by human beings. This group of islands is collectively called Oran Islands.

The dotted islands, huge rocks, brilliant valleys with wild flowers and dense forests make this archipelago unique. The scenery of Oran Island is quite different from that of the interior of Finland. There are many historic sites on the island, including medieval castles, churches and Bo Ma Song's maritime fortress. In 1854, due to the outbreak of the Crimean War, the huge plan to build a fortress ran aground. The fortress, which had just been built in half, was attacked by the British and French allied forces from both sides of the sea and land. The British and French allied forces seized the fortress and blew it up. What people see is only the scattered ruins of the fortress.
