Do Hong Kong people need a visa to go to Myanmar?
On September 6, 2023, the Immigration Department announced that the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region had received a notice from the Myanmar Government to extend the visa-free pilot scheme in Myanmar for one year until September 30, 2020. According to the scheme, HKSAR passport holders can visit Myanmar visa-free for up to 30 days.
Passports of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region are valid all over the world. At present, 166 countries and regions have granted visa-free or visa-on-arrival arrangements to HKSAR passport holders. However, please note that when passengers arrive in these countries, they still need the final consent of the local exit-entry administration before they can enter the country.
