Instructions for entry customs declaration

1. Declaration

(1) Red line customs clearance

Inbound passengers carry luggage and items that are controlled or restricted from import. If you have the following items that should be declared, you should fill in the "Republic of China Customs Declaration Form" to declare to the customs, and go through customs at the "Declaration Counter" (i.e. the red line counter):

1. The total value of your luggage exceeds The tax-free limit is NT$20,000 or the cigarettes and alcohol exceed the tax-free limit (200 cigarettes or 25 cigars or 1 pound of shredded tobacco and 1 liter of wine. Minors are not allowed to bring them).

2. Those who carry foreign currency cash with a total value exceeding the equivalent of US$10,000.

3. Those carrying more than NT$60,000.

4. Those carrying gold worth more than 20,000 U.S. dollars.

5. Those who carry more than 20,000 yuan in RMB (inbound passengers should seal the excess at the customs and be allowed to take it out when leaving the country).

6. Those who carry aquatic products or animals and plants and their products.

7. Those who do not carry luggage with them.

8. Carrying bearer travellers’ checks, other checks, cashier’s checks, money orders or other securities that can be exercised by the holder in this country or a foreign country, with a total face value exceeding the equivalent of US$10,000 (If failure to declare or false declaration is made, a fine equivalent to the value of the securities not declared or false declaration shall be imposed).

9. There are other matters that do not comply with tax exemption regulations or require declaration, or are not exempt from customs clearance according to regulations.

(2) Green Line Customs Clearance

Passengers who do not fall into the above situation can skip filling in the declaration form and select the "Declaration-Free Counter" (i.e. Green Line Counter) with their passport to clear customs.

2. Scope and quantity of duty-free items

(1) The duty-free scope of luggage items carried by passengers is limited to those suitable for personal use and household use, and the scope is as follows:

1. 1 liter of wine, 200 cigarettes or 25 cigars or 1 pound of tobacco, but only applicable to adult passengers over 20 years old.

2. The duty-paid value of a single piece or a group of used luggage items that are not controlled imports is less than NT$10,000.

3. The total duty-paid value of luggage items other than those listed in items 1 and 2 above (excluding controlled items, tobacco and alcohol) is less than NT$20,000.

(2) Passengers carrying samples of goods with a duty-paid value of less than NT$12,000 are exempt from tax.

3. Dutiable items

If the total number of imported carry-on and unaccompanied luggage items carried by passengers exceeds the scope and quantity of duty-free items, they shall be taxed.

(1) Limits and limits of taxable items

1. Imported carry-on and non-carry-on luggage items (including samples, machine parts, and raw materials deemed as luggage items) brought by inbound passengers , materials, instruments, tools and other goods), the total dutiable value of the taxable part shall not exceed US$20,000 per person.

2. If a single piece of personal luggage carried by an inbound passenger falls into the permitted import category, even if it exceeds the above limit, the import permit is still exempted.

3. The quantity of foreign tobacco and alcohol imported for gift or personal use shall not exceed 5 liters of alcohol, 1,000 cigarettes or 5 pounds of cut tobacco or 125 cigars. If the limit is exceeded, tobacco and alcohol shall be confiscated A copy of the import industry license.

4. Passengers who are obviously carrying goods for profit or who frequently enter and exit the country (referring to more than 2 entries and exits within 30 days or more than 6 entries and exits within half a year) and have a record of violation, the luggage and items carried by them The quantity and value may be calculated at half in accordance with regulations.

5. Passengers who enter the country via transit, except for personal clothing and other daily necessities that must be carried with them for travel, can be carried tax-free. The remaining baggage and items they carry will be tax-free according to the provisions of 4.

6. If the luggage and items carried by inbound passengers exceed the above limits and limits, if they have been declared truthfully, they must submit an import permit for inspection within 2 months from the next day of entry. If a part of the restricted scope is returned or declared in writing, an extension of one month may be applied for if necessary. If the import license is not submitted within the expiration date, or the goods are returned or declared to be abandoned, the goods will be dealt with in accordance with Article 96 of the Tariff Law.

(2) Unaccompanied luggage items

1. Unaccompanied luggage items should be reported in the "Republic of China Customs Declaration Form" with the number and main items upon entry, and should be self-reported. Import within 6 months from the day after entry.

2. For those who violate the above-mentioned import deadlines or fail to declare that they have delayed luggage when entering the country, their import customs clearance will be as normal imported goods unless there are legitimate reasons (such as delayed shipping) and approval by the customs. deal with.

3. Luggage items must be declared to customs within 15 days from the day following the import date of the means of transport carrying the luggage. Failure to declare customs within the time limit shall be handled in accordance with the provisions of Article 73 of the Tariff Law.

4. When a passenger's unaccompanied baggage is imported, the passenger himself or an agent or customs broker entrusted with a power of attorney should fill in the import declaration form and declare it to the customs.

IV. New Taiwan Dollars, Foreign Currencies, Renminbi and Securities

(1) New Taiwan Dollars

The limit on bringing New Taiwan Dollars into the country is NT$60,000. If the amount of New Taiwan dollars you bring exceeds this limit, you should apply to the Central Bank for approval before entering the country, and the certificate will be inspected and released. The excess amount is not allowed to be brought in without approval.

(2) Foreign Currency

There are no restrictions on bringing foreign currency into the country, but if it exceeds the equivalent of 10,000 U.S. dollars, it should be declared to the customs upon entry; if it is not declared upon entry, The excess shall be confiscated.

(3) Renminbi

Those who bring in more than 20,000 yuan in RMB should automatically declare it to the customs; the excess amount will be sealed at the customs and will be allowed to be taken out when leaving the country. If the declaration is false, the excess portion will be confiscated in accordance with the law.

(4) Negotiable securities (referring to bearer travellers’ checks, other checks, cashier’s checks, bills of exchange or other securities that can be exercised by the holder in this country or abroad)

< p> Anyone who brings securities into the country with a total face value exceeding the equivalent of US$10,000 must declare it to the customs. Those who fail to declare in accordance with the regulations or make false declarations shall be subject to a fine equivalent to the value of the securities that were not declared or were falsely declared.

5. Drugs

(1) Passengers are limited to 6 kinds of drugs for personal use. Except for drugs controlled at all levels and protected species whose use is prohibited, they should be dealt with in accordance with the law. For self-use medicines whose ingredients do not contain controlled drugs at all levels, the limit is limited to 2 bottles (boxes) of each type, and the total should not exceed 6 types.

(2) Controlled drugs carried by passengers or ship or aircraft service personnel must be certified by hospitals or clinics, and are limited to treating their own diseases. The amount carried shall not exceed the prescription amount prescribed by the medical certificate. .

(3) Chinese medicinal materials and Chinese patent medicines: 0.6 kg of each Chinese medicinal material, 12 types in total. There are 12 bottles (boxes) of each type of traditional Chinese medicine, but the total number shall not exceed 36 bottles (boxes), and the duty-paid price shall not exceed NT$10,000.

(4) 12 bottles of oral vitamin medicines (the total amount shall not exceed 1,200 pills). There are 12 bottles of each type of tablet and capsule food, and the total quantity must not exceed 2,400 tablets. For each quantity between 1,200 and 2,400 tablets, sample import procedures must be applied to the Department of Health, Executive Yuan.

VI. Limits of agricultural, livestock and aquatic products and items in mainland China

(1) 6 kilograms of agricultural, livestock and aquatic products (live animals and their products, live plants and their fresh food are prohibited) Products, fresh fruits. However, this does not apply to dogs, cats, rabbits and animal products that comply with the regulations on the prevention and control of animal infectious diseases, dried, processed and prepared aquatic products, and those that comply with the regulations of the Plant Prevention and Quarantine Law).

7. Prohibited items

(1) Drugs listed in the Drug Harm Prevention Regulations (such as heroin, morphine, opium, cocaine, marijuana, amphetamines, etc.).

(2) Firearms (such as shotguns, air guns, spearguns, etc.), ammunition (such as shells, bullets, bombs, explosives, etc.) and knives listed in the Firearms, Ammunition and Knife Control Regulations.

(3) Live and conserved wild animals and plants and their products may not be imported without the permission of the Executive Yuan Committee on Agriculture; if they are controlled by CITES, a CITES permit must be attached , declare to customs for inspection.

(4) Items that infringe patent rights, trademark rights and copyrights.

(5) Counterfeit or altered currency, securities and impressions for printing counterfeit currency.

(6) All controlled substances and drugs that are not prescribed by doctors or of a non-medical nature.

(7) It is prohibited to carry live animals and their products, live plants and their fresh products, and fresh fruits. However, this does not apply to dogs, cats, rabbits and animal products that comply with the regulations on the prevention and control of animal infectious diseases, dried, processed and prepared aquatic products, and those that comply with the provisions of the Plant Prevention and Quarantine Law.

(8) Other items that are not allowed to be imported or prohibited by law.

●If inbound and outbound passengers are unsure whether their luggage should be declared, please consult with the customs officers before clearing customs to avoid violating legal regulations.

●Those who bring audio tapes, video tapes, records, audio-visual discs and computer software, 8cm videos, books and periodicals documents and other reproductions of works into the country are limited to one copy of each work.

●Drugs, firearms, ammunition, protected wild animals and their products are prohibited from being brought in and out of the country.
