General situation of Dunhuang College of Northwest Normal University

Dunhuang College of Northwest Normal University was established in May of 20 14. Approved by the Education Department of Gansu Province, it was founded by Northwest Normal University and Dunhuang Municipal People's Government and implemented full-time undergraduate education.

The college is located in Dunhuang City, Gansu Province, a famous international cultural tourism city, with Dunhuang Park in the west and Danghe customs line in the east. It now covers an area of125mu (another 406mu is planned for construction), with a total school area of 29,000m2. There are teaching facilities such as teaching buildings, multimedia laboratories, libraries and outdoor stadiums that meet the needs of modern teaching, advanced teaching and research conditions, complete public service facilities and elegant campus environment.

Relying on the high-quality discipline resources of Northwest Normal University and the cultural tourism resources of Dunhuang City, the college is committed to cultivating applied professionals with rich humanistic literacy, scientific literacy and professional knowledge, focusing on the needs of national and local economic and social development. The college now offers four undergraduate majors: tourism management, fine arts, dance performance and animation. The college enrolls students for the whole country, and the enrollment plan is included in the national general higher education unified recruitment plan. In 20 14, the college plans to recruit full-time undergraduates 140, including 50 students majoring in tourism management, 30 students majoring in fine arts (Chinese painting), 30 students majoring in dance performance and 20 students majoring in animation. Students who have completed their studies and meet the relevant provisions on school graduation and degree granting will be awarded the graduation certificate and degree certificate of Northwest Normal University.
