Seeking the route of tourist attractions in Chaoshan area
After getting off the bus, walk 25 meters east along Chaofeng Road, turn right into Hu Yong Road, walk 307 meters south, turn left into Xinqiao Road, walk 450 meters east into Kaiyuan Road, walk 550 meters east into Kaiyuan Road, turn left into Yi 'an Road, walk north 185 meters, turn right into Xima Road, and walk east10 meters to Kaiyuan.
1. Kaiyuan Temple
Admission: 5 yuan/person
Kaiyuan Temple, formerly known as Mo Lifeng Temple, was renamed Kaiyuan Temple after expansion in the 26th year of Tang Kaiyuan (738). It is one of the four famous temples in Guangdong. There is vegetarian food opposite Kaiyuan Temple, and the taste is OK. There are Chaozhou snacks nearby. Transportation: Take bus No.3 from Inner Ring Road and get off at Kaiyuan Temple Station.
After leaving Kaiyuan Temple, walk east along Xima Road 1 10 meter, turn right into Taiping Road, walk 60 meters south, turn left into Dongmen Street, and then walk 224 meters east to reach Guangjimen Gate Tower.
2. Guangjimen Gate Tower
Commonly known as the East Gate Building, one of the main portals of Chaozhou Fucheng, Guangjimen Pagoda is the most magnificent among many pagodas on the wall of ancient Fucheng. The original name of Guangjimen Gate Tower is "Guangji Tower", also known as "Hanjiang Tower", and it is commonly known as "Dongmen Tower". It is the most magnificent of the original seven gates of Chaozhou ancient city. You can see Guangji Bridge upstairs.
Get off the tower, out of the gate, and cross Huancheng East Road, which is Guangji Bridge. You don't need tickets to climb the first floor, but you need tickets for internal visits, but it's not worth it.
3. Guangji Bridge
Admission: 60 yuan/person, very expensive, not worth it. One of the famous ancient bridges in China, it was built in the sixth year of Zhenguan in the Southern Song Dynasty (1 170), and it took 57 years to complete, with a total length of 515m. The pier 18 is divided into east and west sections, and the middle section is about 100 m wide. Because of the rapidity of the water, it is impossible to cross the bridge, so we have to take a ferry. At that time, it was called Jeju Bridge, commonly known as "Xiang". Chaozhou government restored the ancient city wall and gate opposite Guangji Bridge, making Guangji Bridge and gate wall a whole and becoming a unique tourist spot in Chaozhou.
Transportation: Take bus 10 and get off at Hanchi Station. Ticket price 1 yuan/person.
The East Ring Road between Guangji Bridge and Guangji Building is the Riverside Corridor.
4. Riverside promenade
It is the renovation of the old city gate and the beautification project of the long embankment along the river built in Chaozhou. There are still four towers on the levee that stretches for eight miles: Xiashuimen Tower, Guangjimen Tower, Zhumu Gate Tower and Shangshuimen Tower.
Go north along Huancheng East Road 1 187 meters to reach the beige Buddha lamp.
5. beige Buddha lamp
Beige Buddha Lantern Beige Scenic Area and Beige Buddha Lantern Beige are the floors of a group of pavilions in the east of Jinshan. Here is the rapidly declining Hanjiang River in the east, pavilions in the north, the crocodile crossing the autumn wind on the embankment in the north, the Hanci Oak across the river, the Xiangqiao Spring and the Phoenix Rain in the lower reaches of the Hanjiang River. Overlooking the Han River, the river is surging and dotted with white sails.
Walk 2266 meters south along Huancheng East Road, turn left into Hanjiang Bridge, and walk 539 meters southeast to Phoenix Island Park.
6. Phoenix Island Park
Admission: 10 yuan/person.
Phoenix Island Park, located in Xiashatou of Hanjiang Bridge, was built in 1999. Park landscape One of the eight scenic spots in Chaozhou, it rains when the phoenix falls. According to legend, in ancient times, the phoenix on Fenghuang Mountain yearned for the scenery of "three mountains and one water" in Chaozhou, and often lived and played on the green sandbar in the middle of this river. Phoenix Scenic Spot: Since Hou Bideng built the Phoenix Terrace, officials and local gentlemen in Ming and Qing Dynasties have built more than ten scenic spots here, such as Shixiang Temple, Fengtai Academy, Wenchang Temple, Dragon Palace, Tianhou Palace, Zhen Hong Temple, Lugong Temple, Zhougong Temple and Kuige Pavilion. Most of these scenes have been lost due to the changes of time, but Phoenix Terrace, Kuige Pavilion and Tianhou Palace have been destroyed and built repeatedly because of their wonderful landscapes and symbols of cultural prosperity.
Transportation: Take bus 12 and get off at Phoenix Island Park. You can go south from the west end of Xiangzi Bridge along Binjiang Park on the bank of the Han River. After crossing the Hanjiang Bridge, you can walk more than 300 meters to the east, next to the Zhouxian approach bridge.
From Phoenix Island Park, walk eastward along Hanjiang Bridge1584m, turn left, turn around and enter Dongshan Road, walk westward for 424m, and arrive at Kaiyuan Temple Taifo Palace.
7. Kaiyuan Temple Taifo Palace
Taifo Palace, the national temple in Kaiyuan Town, is located at the southern foot of Bijia Mountain on the east side of Hanjiang Bridge in Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province, with beautiful scenery and towering pines and cypresses, corresponding to the newly-built Huiru Park. The entire Taifo Palace is resplendent, harmonious and elegant, which fully demonstrates the architectural culture and artistic style of Thailand.
Transportation: No.8 bus 1. Hanshi East Gate Station, get off and go west.
After leaving the Taifo Palace in Kaiyuan Temple, walk 345 meters southwest along Dongshan Road, turn right into Provincial Highway 23 1, walk west 180 meters, turn right into Dongxing South Road, walk north1/93 meters, turn right into Dongxing North Road, and walk northeast 184 meters.
8. Hanwengong Temple
Admission: 5 yuan/person goes to Hanwengong Temple at 8am (free before 8am).
This temple was built in the Northern Song Dynasty, 7 miles south of the city. Su Shi once wrote the famous tablet of Chaozhou Hanwen Temple. Chinese ci was repeatedly trained in Yuan and Ming Dynasties, no less than 20 times. The shrine is located in a vast area with a simple structure. Divided into two floors, there are two corridors. Later, it was built on a pedestal several meters higher than before for the statue of Han Yu.
Transportation: Take a taxi directly after arriving in Chaozhou. By bus, the bus stop is too far from the entrance.
Drive south along Dongxing North Road 1377 meters, turn left into Provincial Road 23 1, drive east 180 meters, turn right into Hanjiang Bridge, drive northwest for 3,024 meters, turn right into Huancheng West Road, drive northeast for 453 meters, and reach Chaozhou West Lake Park.
9. Chaozhou West Lake Park
Tickets: You can walk in and ignore the ticket inspector for free.
It is a famous classical garden in eastern Guangdong. The original mountain stretches for more than 10, and now it covers an area of 267 hectares (including 20 hectares of mountains and 6.7 hectares of waters), making it one of the 36 West Lakes in the world. The park is backed by Hulu Mountain and faces the West Lake. Hulu Mountain is more than 50 feet high, so it is named because it looks like a gourd lying. When you get to Chaozhou city, take bus 18 to the park.
Transportation: Take bus 1 and get off at Hetou Station. Exit Chaozhou Bus Terminal, enter Chaofeng Road, walk 479 meters east, enter the roundabout, enter Huancheng West Road, walk 534 meters northeast, and reach the destination Chaozhou West Lake Park.
10. Bijiashan
Admission: 10 yuan/person. Located in the east of the city, across Guangji Bridge, it is named because its three peaks are shaped like pens. According to legend, when Han Yu was exiled to Chaozhou, he visited this mountain and planted oak trees himself. Later generations called Bijia Mountain "Cold Mountain" and the oak tree "Han Mu". There is also a "Chinese Temple" at the foot of Bijia Mountain, and Bijia Mountain has thus become a cultural resort in the hearts of Chaozhou ancients. Every year, they predict the rise and fall of surnames by the number of oak trees blooming, and "Hanci Oak" has also become one of the "Eight Scenes of Chaozhou". Bijiashan was also the production base of Chaozhou ceramics in the Song Dynasty, with endless kiln groups, known as "Baiyao Village" and "Song and Yue Porcelain Capital".
Transportation: No.3 and 10 can be reached, and get off at Hanchi Station. The fare is 1 yuan/person. The Song Yao site of Bijiashan has not been developed and packaged, so Chaozhou Bank generally does not recommend it. This point is halfway up the mountain near Chaozhou Hanjiang Normal College. Take bus 10 and get off at the sugar factory station by the Han River. Then go straight to Hanjiang Normal College, cross two or three alleys and ask for directions.
There are many special tricycles on the streets of Chaozhou, which are multi-purpose and cheap. In urban areas, they usually show you around the famous scenic spots in Chaozhou City for five yuan or less. You can go to the station by bus, and then take a taxi to where you want to go. Chaozhou taxis have to bargain, and Chaozhou snacks usually have to be eaten in the alley to get really delicious food.
