Why no one goes to Jeju Island?

Jeju Island, as one of the largest islands in South Korea, should attract a large number of tourists with its unique natural landscape and cultural charm. However, actual tourist numbers contrast with its potential appeal. The reasons mainly lie in the following aspects:

First of all, the price of goods in Jeju Island is higher than that of other Korean tourist destinations, especially hotels and catering services, which are expensive due to the special geographical location. This undoubtedly puts many tourists off budget considerations.

Secondly, the limitations of transportation conditions are also an important factor affecting tourists' choices. Although it is the largest island in South Korea, transportation is not convenient. In addition to limited flights and sea transportation, the public transportation system is not perfect, and traveling to scenic spots often requires additional cost and time investment.

Furthermore, the gap in popularity is also a problem. Although Jeju Island is listed as a tourist destination recommended by the Korea Tourism Administration, it is not as well-known among international tourists as other popular destinations, which is particularly critical when choosing a travel destination.

Finally, the singleness of the tourist experience also affects the appeal of Jeju Island. Although there are unique natural scenery, there are relatively few entertainment facilities and diverse activities, which cannot meet the needs of tourists seeking rich experiences.
