The best time to travel to Tibet during the season

July to September is the best time for outdoor tourism in Tibet.

It is also a good choice to travel to Lhasa from July to September every year. There are fewer tourists at that time. Due to the long sunshine time on the plateau, it is not very cold during the day, but it is colder at night, and the temperature difference between morning and evening is large.

It is recommended to visit the Ngari area in summer, when the road conditions are better and you can go to the mountains. The Linzhi area, known as the "Switzerland of China", is a good place to visit in summer. You can see dense forests, rivers and herds of cattle and sheep.

Tibet is located on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, with a higher average altitude and lower temperatures. The air on the plateau is thin, the solar radiation is strong, and there is less precipitation. The climate has large diurnal temperature differences. Tibet can be traveled in all seasons, but summer is the best when the temperature rises and is relatively warm, making it suitable for travel.
