Yuanjiacun is located at the southern end of Jiaonan City and the south bank of Fenghe River. The village is 2 kilometers from east to west, 2 kilometers from north to south and covers an area of 4 square kilometers. It is said that in the early Ming Dynasty, Guo and Yuan came to this village from Yunnan. Because the village is located near a river ditch, it was named "River ditch" and later renamed "yuanjiacun". According to the Republic of China edition of "Adding and Repairing the Cross-toe Territory", it was called Yuan Dujia in the Qing Dynasty, Yuan Jiazhuang in the Xuan Tong period and yuanjiacun in the Republic of China. The village has been named "Top Ten Civilized Villages", "Advanced Unit for Comprehensive Management of Social Security" and "Advanced Unit for Village Family Planning" by Jiaonan Municipal Government for many times. It was named "Five Advanced Party Branches", "Socialist Civilized Village" and "Advanced People's Mediation Committee" by Qingdao Municipal Government. It was awarded the honorary titles of "Excellent People's Mediation Committee" and "Star Village for Rural Construction" by Shandong Provincial Government.
