The fun of Hunan Zoo is Changsha Ecological Zoo.

Changsha Ecological Zoo, located at No.729, Section 4, Furong South Road, Tianxin District, Changsha City, Hunan Province, covers an area of 1.500 mu, and receives about 2 million Chinese and foreign tourists every year (including more than 950,000 free visits by primary and secondary school students, soldiers, disabled people and vulnerable groups). The Tropical Rainforest Reptile Museum consists of five sub-areas: entrance service area, man and nature area, desert landscape area, tropical orchard area and tropical rainforest area. More than 400 plant varieties, 15000 plants, have been planted in the museum. The Rainforest Pavilion integrates science popularization, species protection, cultivation and breeding, and garden art. It simulates tropical and subtropical natural climate environment through artificial environment, and combines rocks, water bodies and tropical and subtropical plants to form natural tropical rainforest scenery.

The Tropical Rainforest Reptile Museum now exhibits two kinds of reptiles: Siamese crocodile, golden python, red-tailed boa constrictor, netted python, corn snake, California king snake, brown-black snake, Adabora elephant turtle, Sukadada turtle, yellow-rimmed box turtle, Burmese turtle, red-legged turtle, Argentine black-and-white Taggart lizard, mangrove monitor lizard, chameleon, blue-tongued lizard and maned lizard.
