Traveling to the Netherlands, what materials are needed to apply for a Dutch tourist visa?

Required materials for visa application

1. For Schengen visa application, see "Schengen Visa".

2. Apply for Caribbean visa

1) Short-term stay visa

⑴ Fill out the visa application form.

⑵ 2 passport photos.

⑶ Valid passport (with at least two blank pages, valid for at least 3 months after the visa expires), provide original and copy (passport personal information page and signature page).

⑷ ID card and copy.

⑸ Round-trip air ticket booking form.

⑹ Proof of accommodation.

⑺ Materials proving the applicant’s return on time.

⑻ Applicant’s financial ability materials (bank statements and employer’s certification letter in the past 3 months).

⑼ Medical insurance.

2) Depending on the purpose of the visit, the applicant needs to submit the following materials. Some materials are not required, but may be needed when reviewing and approving the application.

⑴ Additional information required to apply for a family visit visa:

a. Invitation letter.

b. Home address.

c. Letter of guarantee issued by a civil agency.

⑵ Additional information required to apply for a work-related visa:

a. Letter of certification from the employer.

b. Work permit document.

c. Original and copy of business license.

d. Entry permit document or MVV-BES statement.

⑶ Additional information required to apply for a business visa:

a. Original and copy of the unit’s business license.

b. Previous business dealings information (contract, bill of lading, etc.).

c. Tax certificate.

d. Import license documents.

⑷ Additional information required to apply for a study visa:

a. Admission notice.

b. Invitation letter/admission notice.

c. Internship agreement or work permit document.

⑸ Additional information required to apply for a tourist visa:

a. Proof of group travel or individual travel.

b. Hotel orders.

c. Proof of property (real estate certificate, etc.)

⑹ Long-term (residence) visa

The Dutch embassy and consulate does not accept applications for residence permits in the Caribbean.

The residence permit application must be handled locally by the inviting person. After obtaining the entry permit or notification letter, the visa applicant should go to the embassy or consulate with the entry permit document to apply for a visa and prepare the following materials:

a. Visa application form.

b. 2 recent passport photos.

c. Valid passport: (at least two blank pages, valid for at least 3 months after the visa expires), original passport and copies of the passport information page and signature page.

d. ID card and copy.

e. Round trip air ticket booking.

f. Original and copy of entry permit/notification.

3) Apply for a Dutch continental European visa

⑵ Long-term visa: Chinese students who want to study in the Netherlands and stay for more than 90 consecutive days must apply for a temporary residence visa (MVV). The MVV is approved by the Dutch Immigration Service (IND) and forwarded to the embassy or consulate. Before making an appointment to submit materials for MVV collection, please contact the embassy/consulate to check whether the MVV approval letter has arrived. If the approval letter is received, the MVV will be issued in up to 3 working days.
