History of Nanjiang Town, Pingjiang County, Hunan Province
Nanjiang Town at the foot of Tianyue Mufu Mountain is an important and prosperous town in Pingjiang County, Hunan Province. It is located at the junction of Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi provinces, and is connected with Yueyang County in Hunan, Tongcheng County in Hubei, and Three counties in Xiushui County, Jiangxi Province are adjacent to each other and are commonly known as "one town spanning three provinces".
It is 43 kilometers away from Pingjiang County, 98 kilometers away from Yueyang City, 37 kilometers away from Tongcheng County, Hubei Province, and 148 kilometers away from the provincial capital Changsha.
Mufu Mountain National Forest Park
Mufu Mountain National Forest Park, formerly the state-owned Pingjiang County Mufu Forest Farm, is located in the northeast corner of Hunan Province at the junction of Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi provinces . Founded in 1957. In 2001, the Mufu Mountain Provincial Forest Park was established with the approval of the Provincial People's Government. In 2005, it was promoted to a national forest park with the approval of the State Forestry Administration.
