Safety precautions for China citizens traveling to Thailand during the Spring Festival.
China citizens who travel to Thailand during the Spring Festival should pay attention to safety.
As the Spring Festival is approaching, the China Embassy in Thailand issued a consular reminder on the 24th to remind visitors to China and Thailand to pay attention to relevant safety matters.
First, imported tobacco and alcohol should be carried in moderation, and duty-free goods are no exception. According to Thai law, each tourist is only allowed to bring 1 cigarette (200 cigarettes or 250g tobacco) and 1 bottle of wine (no more than 1 liter) into the country. At the same time, you can't put the cigarettes and alcohol of many people in one person's luggage, or give them to one person for safekeeping in the airport area, otherwise it will be regarded as excessive carrying. In addition, tobacco and alcohol purchased in duty-free shops at airports in various countries (including Thailand) are also subject to the above regulations.
Second, be careful when renting motorcycles, and don't give your passport to others. Since the beginning of this year, there have been many traffic accidents caused by China citizens renting motorcycles locally. Therefore, the Embassy advised China citizens to be cautious in renting and driving motorcycles in Thailand. If you really need to rent a car to drive, you need to confirm that you have a Thai driver's license or an international driver's license, otherwise you will be fully responsible for the accident. At the same time, don't mortgage important documents such as passports to merchants, so as not to affect the follow-up trip.
Third, the right rudder should be left-handed, and the confirmation of combat should be set. Thai vehicles drive on the left and right, so be careful. Although local "motorcycles" and "tuk-tuk cars" are fast and convenient, they lack the necessary safety protection for passengers and should be carefully selected. If you choose to take a taxi, you should confirm the meter charge in advance, write down the license plate and driver's license number, and take good care of your belongings during the ride.
Fourth, don't rush into the water, snorkeling in the deep sea and listen to the command. The red flag on the beach means that the sea is dangerous and not suitable for going out to sea. Don't go into the sea in case of wind and waves, fasting, full meal, drunkenness, extreme fatigue and other physical conditions. If you participate in snorkeling projects, you should follow the guidance of professionals and take protective measures in strict accordance with relevant safety requirements.
Fifth, take good care of your documents and belongings, and go out late at night to prevent looting. Take care of your belongings and valuables, take care of your money, and reduce going out late at night. If you really need to go out, try to go together and don't go to remote or complicated neighborhoods. At the same time, your backpack is hung inside to prevent the flying car from grabbing the bag.
At the same time, the Embassy reminded that in case of emergency, you can ask the local police or the Embassy of China in Thailand for help. (End)
