Must outbound tour leaders and special tour guides have a college degree or above?

For outbound tour guides, the qualification test is the "Outbound Tour Guide Certificate" exam. The exam time is basically the same as the tour guide qualification exam time. Generally, registration is in September of the same year and the exam is taken in November/December. The specific time is based on the local province. The time will be announced by the Tourism Bureau. The newly-promulgated "Measures for the Administration of Chinese Citizens' Overseas Travel" and the "Quality Standards for Travel Agencies' Outbound Tourism Service" recently issued by the National Tourism Administration clearly stipulate the application conditions:

1. Applicants for tour leaders must be all international travel agency tour guides; Strong professional ability and professionalism; high political awareness, compliance with laws and regulations, and no records of violations or liability complaints

2. College degree or above and a certain level of foreign language proficiency

3. The applicant must submit the original ID card, academic certificate, original tour guide qualification certificate and copy of the tour guide certificate

Examination subjects: three parts: team leader business and policies and regulations, destination country (region) knowledge, and English. Applicants who have obtained English tour guide qualifications, College English Certificate VI, or destination country language tour guide qualifications are exempted from taking the English test. However, you must submit the original English tour guide qualification certificate and the original and copy of the College English Level 6 certificate, or the original and copy of the destination country's language tour guide qualification certificate.

To apply for the special tour guide grade examination, you must meet the following conditions:

(1) Have a bachelor's degree or above;

(2) Obtain a senior tour guide certificate At least three years;

(3) After obtaining the senior tour guide certificate, the actual guided tour period is no less than 50 working days, and the group leader has demonstrated good professional ethics during the period;

(4) ) Have a formally published monograph on the tour guide business, and must be the first author if co-authored; or have independently published 2 (inclusive) 2 papers on the tour guide business of no less than 3,000 words in publicly distributed provincial newspapers and periodicals;

(5) Chinese-speaking tour guides who apply for foreign-language tour guides must have a bachelor's degree or above in the language they apply for; (6) Anyone who commits serious violations of regulations and disciplines while working as a tour guide shall report Those who have a one-time deduction of more than 6 points (including 6 points) in the previous year or a cumulative deduction of 10 points within a year are not allowed to participate in the special tour guide rating assessment of that year.
