The harvest of the five-day tour in North Korea: I found that the real North Korea is not quite what I expected.

Many people should share my first impression of North Korea, except mystery and curiosity.

Without personal experience, it is difficult to understand the uniqueness of North Korea and its similarities with China.

China and North Korea are both socialist countries, and some historical origins made me like this country better after I was curious, which invisibly contributed to my trip to North Korea on 20 19.

A few years ago, North Korea became popular. Many enthusiastic netizens have also made various strategies. Some colleagues around me have been to North Korea, and the feedback they brought back was "I'm glad you came".

In 20 19, at a friend's party of my father's, someone suggested going to North Korea next door to "cross" the 1980s, but everyone agreed.

Taking this opportunity, I also asked the company for a week's annual leave and went with my parents and their team.

There are two ways to go to North Korea:

A large number of people go to North Korea, in addition to nostalgia, but also to remember the martyrs, relive the road to aid Korea in those days, and visit historical sites along the way.

Because the train can cross the Yalu River, although the train is not as fast as the plane, many people still choose to go to North Korea by train.

The whole nostalgic journey started with the train. I took the green leather train to North Korea, which sounded very contemporary. In my memory, the first time I took a green leather car, I went back to playing with my father when I was a child.

The outside of the train looks a little old, but the inside of the train is still clean and tidy. The disadvantage is that there is no air conditioning, only the fans hanging on both sides keep turning.

Many of the flight attendants on the bus are young Korean girls who can speak some Chinese, which is the biggest highlight of the whole journey.

Accompanied by older uncles and aunts, everyone was psychologically prepared for such a crossing at first. When they really walked into the green leather carriage, everyone felt the breath of the "80 s"

The train is moving very slowly, but this does not affect everyone's enthusiasm. Many people photographed farmland or buildings near the North Korean border.

After Sinuiju, on both sides of the railway track is the rural area of North Korea. There are several two-story tile houses hidden deep in the vast farmland. Rows of rice fields, farmers lined up beside transplanting rice seedlings, a cart pulled the seedlings on the dirt road, and a young child sat on the back of the cow.

This rural landscape suddenly evoked memories of people around me, as if I had returned to the 1980s and my youth.

Cars are rarely seen in rural areas of North Korea, and most of them are rural scenery:

The tour guide said that their crops are pure natural, healthy and nutritious, and no chemical fertilizer is used. The yield of an acre of land is only about 400 kilograms.

As early as the 1980s, North Korea's industry was relatively developed, and later changes made their industry collapse. Up to now, buffaloes are still laborers in the fields.

In Pyongyang, a big city in North Korea, private cars are not popular here, with wide roads and only bustling trucks on weekdays. Besides, bicycles are the most popular means of transportation in North Korea.

Many bicycles on the road are not very new. Second-hand bicycles should have a good market in North Korea. Listening to the familiar ringtone, I feel as if I were in China 30 years ago, and I have an inexplicable intimacy.

The streets in North Korea are very clean, and sanitation workers are rarely seen. The surrounding shops are scattered and there are not many customers.

Posters can be seen everywhere in the street, and the characters are very full, much like illustrations in primary school Chinese books, which show the spiritual outlook of this country well.

Foreign tourists visiting North Korea, no matter how many people there are in the tour group, even if there are only three or five people, will be accompanied by two tour guides.

The tour guide specifically explained that you can't take photos at will, tourists can't wander around without the tour guide, and you can't communicate with North Korean locals.

Before coming to North Korea, I want to experience the customs of North Korea alone. Tourists will be arranged to spend money in shops serving foreign guests, and ordinary shops will not sell them if they have money.

In North Korea, you can use RMB directly. Unlike going to other countries, you have to change your local currency to spend. Later you asked the tour guide. This is a way for their country to increase foreign exchange, and it suddenly dawned.

In addition to not being allowed to walk around and take photos at will, the tour guides were very enthusiastic and introduced us to many scenic and cultural allusions along the way, almost answering questions. Although he can't communicate directly with the Korean people, he knows more or less the characteristics of life in their country.

Perhaps for the sake of the overall image of the country, many places along the way are full of flowers and a jubilant atmosphere. There are flowers on every windowsill. Koreans in the street all have the same hairstyle and dress simply, and they can't see fancy clothes and fancy dresses.

Kim Il Sung Square, North Korea Museum, Main Idea Tower, Arc de Triomphe in Pyongyang, Wuyi Stadium and other tourist attractions are almost all places that every tour group must visit.

Eating is a group meal. What impressed me the most was the copper bowl rice in Kaesong, the special beer duck, the hot and sour cold noodles, and their famous Datong River beer.

North Korea is a country dominated by agriculture, and its industry has been stagnant since the 1980s. Therefore, in 20 19, the per capita monthly income of North Korea was less than that of 700 yuan, less than 9,000 yuan a year.

In the past two years, due to COVID-19, the global economy has experienced a slight fluctuation. Although North Korea has little influence, its tourism industry has suffered a lot.

Ordinary workers earn between 300 yuan and 654.38+10,000 yuan, and those who exceed 654.38+10,000 yuan are considered as high-income people. Teachers, researchers and doctors all belong to this category.

The service industry is valued in North Korea, and the salary is relatively high, because this profession requires highly educated talents and at least one foreign language.

For foreign tourists, shopping or spending in foreign-related shopping malls is not cheap, which is similar to that in domestic second-tier cities:

This level of consumption, even if there is 10 thousand yuan, is not enough to spend 1 month.

I may see the average monthly income of North Korea in 700 yuan, and think their income is low. Later, I calculated that their income was not low.

Every factory will issue living vouchers, and you can take them to the store to get daily necessities.

There is no need to spend money on housing. You can apply for free after marriage. A family of four with one person can apply for a house of 30 square meters 120 square meters.

Children are also 12 years compulsory, and hospitalization including physical examination is also free, which is equivalent to not spending much money at ordinary times, and wages are only used for piecemeal expenses.

Although North Korea is somewhat backward in economy, and most of its streets are simple in 1970s and 1980s, the capital Pyongyang also has a modern side, with many towering buildings, such as Liu Jing Hotel, which is the tallest building in North Korea with a height of 105.

Every country has its own unique national conditions, and perhaps this way of development is most suitable for their present state.

The Korean people are optimistic and cheerful, and everyone's face is filled with a happy smile. No wonder North Korea is rated as one of the countries with the highest happiness index in the world.
