How do students apply for an Australian tourist visa?

The process for students to apply for an Australian tourist visa is the same as for other applicants. After preparing the materials, you can apply online through the Australian Immigration Bureau website ImmiAccount, or you can go to the Australian Visa Center to submit a paper application.

The following are the materials and certificates that current students need to submit to apply for an Australian tourist visa:

1. Application form: Form 1419 (only required for paper applications) and Form 54 .

2. Color copy of passport:

-Two copies of the personal information page of the latest passport. One of them should be a color copy; and

-If the applicant is visiting Australia for the first time, the bottom page of the passport (if it is the signature page), and all visa labels and entry and exit stamps must also be provided , or a color copy of the signed passport page.

3. Color copy of household registration book.

4. Color copy of ID card.

5. Photo: Please provide a passport photo and attach it to the first page of the application form.

6. Fund certification materials: Students and children do not have a fixed source of income. Asset certification materials must be provided together with parents’ employment and income certificates.

7. Original certificate of student enrollment in school.

8. A copy of your student ID card.

9. Australian travel insurance (please purchase it at the insurance channel of the visa center)

In addition, students under the age of 18 need to supplement the following materials:

1. A copy of the birth certificate, which should show the names of the child and both parents.

2. Copy of parents’ marriage certificate.

3. If one or both of the child’s parents or guardians are not traveling with the child, please provide:

- A copy of the ID card of each parent who is not traveling with the child.

-Fill in the 1229 form (below) or obtain the written signature authorization from the different parents, and indicate:

_They agree to allow their children to travel to Australia.

_Approximate date of arrival and duration of stay in Australia.

_Whether the child is allowed to travel to Australia once or multiple times.

_Contact information of different parents.
