What are the requirements for children when traveling by car or boat?

Article 18 of the "Water Passenger Transport Rules" Children whose height exceeds 1.1 meters but not more than 1.4 meters should purchase half-price tickets, and children who are 1.4 meters in height should purchase full-price tickets.

"Road Vehicle Passenger Transport Rules" Children over 1.3 meters tall must purchase a full ticket. For children between 1.1 and 1.3 meters tall, if you purchase a child ticket, they will be charged half the full price and seats will be provided.

Article 7 of the "Railway Passenger Transport Regulations" Child Tickets

When children between 1 meter and 1.3 meters tall take the train, they should purchase child tickets of the same seat category with their adults. Expedited tickets, but cannot exceed the arrival of adults. Children over 1.3 meters should buy an adult ticket. Each adult can bring one child less than 1 meter in height free of charge. If there is more than one child, the excess number should buy a child ticket.

"China Civil Aviation Domestic Transportation Rules for Passengers and Luggage" requires children to purchase child tickets at 50% of the applicable adult fare and provide seats. Infants purchase infant tickets at 10% of the applicable adult fare, and no seats are provided; if they need to occupy a separate seat, they should purchase a child ticket. "Child" means a person who is two years old or older but less than twelve years old. "Infant" refers to a person under the age of two years.
