Small places also have great fun-a two-day tour of Xitou Village in Conghua (DAY 1)

During the 11 th holiday, looking through the circle of friends, many friends who went to popular attractions were trapped in a sea of people, and the pictures sent were blackheads except blackheads. This kind of trip can only satisfy your desire to punch in at the scenic spot, and it is really impossible to really have fun. So many people, like me, choose to go to some non-popular scenic spots with less traffic to get a better travel experience. My destination this time is Xitou Village, Conghua District, Guangzhou, a small village hidden in the mountains.

After driving the Daguang Expressway, I drove on the county road. The road is in good condition and ordinary cars can pass completely. It is getting closer and closer to Xitou Village, and the county road has become a village road with more and more bends. When driving here, you must control the speed and put safety first. Fortunately, there were not too many vehicles along the way, and they were all very orderly, and there was no overtaking phenomenon.

Before entering the village, the first scenic spot to visit is Qianlonggou Waterfall. Known as "the widest waterfall in Asia", this waterfall is full of gimmicks. Park at the foot of the mountain, buy a ticket, take a battery car halfway up the mountain, get off and start climbing. Fortunately, the mountain is not difficult to climb, and soon I began to see a stream flowing not far away.

After walking for a while, a map of scenic spots appeared on the roadside. Looking ahead, Qianlonggou Waterfall is really a small scenic spot. There are no more than ten places to see along the way, and it is not far from where you are. This may be the reason why it is not so popular, and it is also the reason why we gave up popular attractions and came here. In fact, there are not many tourists on the way, but compared with popular attractions, it is really sparse and enjoyable.

The vegetation in the south is lush and evergreen all the year round. On both sides of the mountain road are bamboo forests, and in the depths are leafy broad-leaved trees. Breathing the air purified by the forest, my heart and lungs feel washed. The stream turned into several large waterfalls at several turns, and we climbed the stairs and finally came to Qianlonggou Waterfall. Judging from the width of the waterfall group, it is really unusual. It is impossible for a photo to put all the waterfalls in the frame.

High-speed water droplets stirred up a lot of fog beads, which made the mobile phone take pictures with a halo. There are still not many people here, so it is easy to get a better location and leave a good travel experience. I feel very happy when I think of my friends queuing for two hours to take a photo.

The journey of Qianlonggou Waterfall always takes about two hours, and the physical consumption is not great, which can be easily completed by the elderly and children. Suggest that go on road trip's family go there.

After visiting Qianlonggou Waterfall, we went to Xitou Village. This village is named after this stream. Starting from the village, you can trace the source of the stream, so it has become a must-see project in the village. After a more tortuous mountain road, we finally entered Xitou Village.

The village is not big at all. Even if you shop carefully, you can finish shopping in an hour or two. During the National Day holiday, there are quite a lot of people and cars, but because it is not a popular scenic spot, the number of tourists here is much less than those in famous villages in China. It should be a long time ago for villagers to develop tourism projects. Almost every household has set up homestays, so the whole village has a good ability to accommodate overnight passengers.

It was noon when we arrived. There is only one main street in the village, with restaurants and restaurants on both sides. As you can see, many restaurants are crowded with tourists, showing the scene of tourist season. We walked slowly along the main street and found that the street gradually narrowed, and finally we could not move forward.

I called the boss who booked the hotel before, and soon he appeared in front of us on a small electric donkey and took us into the playground of a primary school. Parking here is free, while the large and small parking lots outside the main street are charged. It is not easy for tourists who are not familiar with the terrain to find this parking lot, which is one of the advantages of living in their shop.

Park the car, next to the restaurant, go in and sit down and read the menu. The innkeeper said that the menu of every restaurant in the village is similar, and the food provided is full of local characteristics: steamed chicken with red onion, fried fish in potholes, bean curd stuffed with mountains and rivers, boiled cabbage and so on. These four dishes are the most distinctive, so we followed suit.

The taste of the dish is relatively light, and there is basically no need for too much seasoning, which keeps the original flavor of the ingredients. As for the ingredients, it goes without saying-the chicken is a native chicken raised by the villagers themselves, and the fish is a small whitebait salvaged from the lake in the mountains, which is pure natural and without additives.

After dinner, I went to the hotel to check in. Pass the archway that says "Xitoushi Lane" along the road. The main street ended here, and then I went inside and entered the most prosperous alley in Xitou Village. On both sides of the alley, fellow villagers set up their own stalls and showed their magical powers, putting food, drink and handicrafts in the most conspicuous position, attracting tourists' attention.

Near the middle of the alley, the hotel is the only hotel in Xitou Village with an elevator. We checked in and continued to wander around the village.

People often ask me what the purpose of my trip is. For this question, I usually tell him: to find the scenery I have never enjoyed, to explore the hearts I neglected in the past. However, in Xitou village, the answer to this question is different. Here, the purpose of traveling is to observe another life and think about the meaning of slow life.

Yes, in Xitou village, the pace of life has been slowed down, and people here have retained more simplicity than urban residents. They work at sunrise and rest at sunset, without endless overtime, endless entertainment and fatal KPI assessment at the end of the year. When you come here, it is important to eat, drink and be merry. More importantly, perhaps it is the observation and appreciation of the landscape and human feelings here. If you can substitute yourself into the unhurried rhythm of the villagers a little bit and let the ease and comfort of life return to your heart a little bit, you can get much better results from this trip than crowding people in popular attractions.

It's getting dark, and the villagers have already closed their stalls and come home one after another, and Lingnan in autumn is slowly showing the chill. Looking at the bright stars in the sky, I feel sleepy.

What surprises will the next day's journey bring us?
