Two-day tour from Wuhan to Lushan

From Wuhan, you can drive to Lushan Mountain. The distance is very short, making it perfect for experiencing a go road trip during your vacation and starting your dream trip. Every moment here will be amazing, lamenting the passage of time and vicissitudes of life. Here is a specific strategy guide.

The first day of traveling to Lushan

On May 1, 2021, from Wuhan Railway Station to Lushan (I did not buy a ticket for Jiujiang Railway Station), and then transferred to Jiujiang from Lushan. It only takes 12 minutes and is very convenient.

After arriving at Jiujiang Railway Station, take a bus from the main entrance square bus station of the ticket office to the bus terminal, ride for three stops, and then take a bus directly to Guling Town, Lushan Scenic Area. When the bus entered the scenic spot halfway, everyone got off the bus and bought tickets. After buying the ticket, I went to the second floor to find the car I just took and waited for people to go up the mountain.

The mountain road up the mountain is rather winding, and it may take a few seconds to turn around (much more than in Huangshan). Friends who suffer from motion sickness can prepare motion sickness medicine in advance. A car dealer can arrive at Guling Street in more than 40 minutes, get off the bus and start check-in.

Everyone must book accommodation online in advance. Accommodation on May Day is relatively expensive, while B&Bs are relatively cheap, but the conditions are different and a bit shabby. It is best to ask the landlord to send photos to communicate and ask clearly when booking a room.

It was past three o'clock in the afternoon after check-in, and then we visited the west route, representing the Fairy Cave/Flower Path and other scenic spots. The attractions are cultural and the scenery is average. You can complete the tour in 3 hours, and then take the last sightseeing bus at 7 o'clock, which takes about 10 minutes. You can visit Guling Street in the evening. To be honest, there are very few shops on Guling Street, and there are also very few shops without characteristics.

Visit Lushan Mountain on the second day

Representative scenic spots include Hanpokou, Botanical Garden, Dakou Waterfall, Wulaofeng, Sandie Spring, etc. The first scenic spot is Hanpokou. Lushan Mountain is the best place to watch the sunrise. It overlooks Wulao Peak and Poyang Lake. Good for taking pictures, but you need to get up early. After visiting Hanpokou, you can go to the Botanical Garden. The next stop at the Botanical Garden is Dakou Falls (I didn’t go to both attractions because I was worried about not having enough time). I went directly to Wulaofeng.

The Five Peaks require climbing five peaks. Start climbing the mountain at 11:30 am and hike down the mountain to Sandiequan on the Wufeng Trail. At 2:10 pm, we went to the entrance of Sandiequan Scenic Area, including taking photos and taking a rest. The uphill road is relatively flat, but the downhill road is a bit steep and quite tiring.

When we arrived at the entrance of Sandiequan Scenic Area, we thought we would see the long-awaited waterfall soon. Who knows, I still need to walk an hour and a half on a mountain road to get there. Friends who are not strong enough can choose to take the cable car at the entrance, but the cable car cannot go directly to Sandiequan.

After getting off the cable car, you still need to walk more than 1,400 steep downhill steps to reach Sandiequan, which is full of challenges. Whether you take the cable car or not, these more than 1,400 steps are necessary. If you want to go back to the mountain after watching the waterfall, you need to climb 1,400 steps along the original route, and then go up the mountain for more than an hour before you can return to the entrance of Sandiequan Scenic Area. So friends who plan to go back to the mountains have enough time to play Sandiequan.

Since there was light rain on the third day, we came down directly from Sandiequan on the second day, went to the east gate of Lushan Mountain, and then returned to the train station (ps: The east gate of Lushan Mountain is 18km away from Jiujiang Railway Station, with more than 30 stations You can take the bus, and the bus stops very early, basically the last bus is at 6 pm).

On the third day, I bought a return ticket for the afternoon, so I went to Xunyang Tower and Binjiang in the morning. The entrance fee to Xunyang Tower is 20 yuan, not worth it. Going to the riverside is purely to see the Jiujiang section of the Yangtze River and the Jiujiang Yangtze River Bridge. After all, Jiujiang is not Wuhan, and there is nothing interesting to see along the river bank, so I don’t recommend going there. In the afternoon, I took the car back.

: Things to note when visiting Lushan Mountain

1. Buy a ticket. I bought the ticket at the Lushan North Gate Hall. The big ticket is 160 yuan (165 yuan online). For 90 yuan, sightseeing buses and sightseeing buses can also be purchased on the mountain. Tickets bought on the mountain

3. There are very few navigation maps of Lushan scenic spots and very few road signs. I want to complain about this. You need to do your homework in advance, which is roughly a journey.

4. The service points at scenic spots are average and you can’t even find anyone to consult. You need to develop your strategy in advance.
