The rapid development of tourism needs the guarantee of tourism education, and the growth of tourism education depends on the support of tourism teaching materials. In recent 20 years, China has published dozens of sets of textbooks on tourism laws and regulations, which laid the foundation for the development of tourism law. However, with the rapid development of tourism and the continuous innovation of tourism scientific research, new textbooks must absorb the essence of these achievements and introduce the latest research trends to readers. To this end, we have organized a group of teachers who have been engaged in the teaching and research of tourism law for a long time, with Chen of Hunan Institute of Technology as the editor-in-chief, Chen of the Academic Affairs Office of Hunan University of Technology Workers, Li Ling of Changsha Vocational College of Environmental Protection and of Hunan No.1 Normal School as the deputy editors, and compiled a Course of Tourism Policies and Regulations for students majoring in tourism in higher vocational colleges. We know that quality and characteristics are the life truth of a textbook. Therefore, in the process of compiling teaching materials, we resolutely implement the reform requirements of higher vocational education, earnestly "lay a solid foundation, strengthen practical links and highlight functional education", grasp the characteristics of curriculum construction of tourism management major in higher vocational colleges, integrate advanced, innovative, compatible, practical and scientific features, and fully embody the new concept of modern vocational education.

This textbook has a wide range of materials, covering the main branches of tourism law, closely combining with the reality of international and domestic tourism law research and development, expounding the general laws of modern tourism law from a high theoretical starting point, showing the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of tourism law system with the latest tourism laws and regulations and research results of tourism law, and paying attention to the comprehensiveness of theory, richness of knowledge, rationality of structure, scientificity of content and vividness of narration. It is a systematic, scientific and practical textbook of tourism law. This book pays special attention to the combination of theory and practice, and introduces the operating procedures of the laws and regulations of the tourism market as vividly as possible. Each chapter is accompanied by reviewing and thinking questions, which is conducive to cultivating students' ability to analyze and solve practical problems. Through study, students can master the laws and regulations of the tourism market comprehensively and systematically, and lay a good legal foundation for future tourism.
