Urgent! Departing from Tianjin for a self-guided tour to Penglai, it lasts three days, going by train and returning by train
Tianjin - Yantai - Penglai - Changdao five-day travel notes and expenses
1. Itinerary and feelings along the way
July 4, 18:00: At 15 minutes, a group of three people took the K285 train from Beijing to Yantai at Tianjin West Railway Station.
We arrived in Yantai City, Shandong Province at 7:40 a.m. on July 5. The train was supposed to be on time at 6:32 a.m., but it was a full hour late. How rude! It was drizzling in Yantai City, and it was drizzling when the train departed. You can buy return tickets 500 meters to the left outside the station entrance. We were picked up by a friend and went to Muping District first. The car drove along the Binhai Road, admiring the sea view and enjoying the sea breeze. It was really eye-catching and comfortable.
At 14:20 pm, we departed from Muping Long-distance Bus Station to Yantai City and arrived at Qingnian Road Bus Station (also known as the Bus Terminal). We bought bus tickets to Penglai. There are plenty of long-distance buses, which run every 20 minutes and run regularly from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The one we took departed at 15:30. The Internet from Yantai to Penglai said it only takes 1 hour and 10 minutes, but it is not the case. , usually about one hour and 40 minutes, because it has stops along the way and is not a direct train. However, the scenery on the road is good, the green belt is very long, there are few people and cars on the road, which is more eye-catching.
Arrived at Penglai Bus Station at 17:20 in the evening. Because we were busy taking a taxi to the pier to catch the boat to Changdao, we didn't pay attention to the traffic on the roadside. In fact, there is an intersection on the right hand side after exiting the bus station. Standing at the intersection, you can see the Eight Immortals sculpture. Turn left at the Eight Immortals sculpture and you will reach Penglai Pavilion. The ticket office is very close, it only takes about 20 minutes to walk, but you can also save your energy and take a taxi. Taxis in Penglai start at 7 yuan, which is enough for half of the distance. We rushed to the pier in a hurry, but the ferry was suspended due to bad weather that day. How depressing! So we had to change our plans and first stay at the Yujiale in Penglai. We stayed at the old captain's Yujiale. The owner's surname was Jiang and he was very kind. The free pick-up and drop-off mentioned by Yujiale is actually a pick-up and drop-off. He can call a car for you during the drop-off, but you have to pay the cost yourself. The accommodation conditions are okay, relatively clean, and the food is good. There were six dishes for the three of us, four of which were seafood dishes. After dinner we took an early rest.
We set off after breakfast at 7:30 in the morning on July 6th. The breakfast was also prepared by Yujiale. There were fried dough sticks, two kinds of pickles, eggs, steamed buns, and polenta. I was very full. The polenta was really delicious. good. Old Captain is very close to the tourist area of ??Baxian Mountain, which is about 10 minutes away, about 20 minutes’ walk from the mouth of the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea, and more than half an hour’s walk from Penglai Pavilion. The sea view along the way is very beautiful, the sea and sky are the same color, as far as the eye can see. For those of us who smell the smell in the city For someone who grew up with the smell of gasoline, being able to enjoy such a view is truly a worthwhile trip! We arrived at Penglai Pavilion at 9:30. The ticket is a postcard. There are places in the scenic area where you can get stamps for free. It is indeed a 5A scenic spot. The ticket is still worth collecting. It is a combined ticket that can go to the Main Pavilion of Penglai Pavilion, Navy Mansion, Ancient Ship Museum, Tianheng Mountain, Tianheng Plank Road, Yellow-Bohai Sea Boundary Line, Quanzhou Cinema, Dengzhou Museum, and Qi Jiguang’s hometown. Let’s start the tour. During the peak tourist season, there will be many professional tour guides from tour groups who can be your free tour guide, so you don’t have to pay for them! We heard that it seems that you are not allowed to turn back in the scenic spots. You cannot go back after visiting each scenic spot. Due to time constraints, we only went to Penglai Pavilion and the Ancient Ship Museum, not other places, which was a bit of a loss!
Take a taxi from Penglai Pavilion back to Yujiale at 12:00 noon. After lunch, take a taxi to Penglai Pier at 13:30. Along the way, you will pass Penglai Ocean Polar World. It is said that this is the largest ocean world in Asia and is worth watching.
I bought a boat ticket from Penglai to Changdao at 13:40 in the afternoon. The boat to Changdao leaves every half an hour. There are also boats to other small islands. I don’t know how long it takes. It was my first time doing a ferry and I was a little excited!
The flight departed at 14:10 in the afternoon. The ticket check before departure was so complicated. I also had to check my ID card. Later I found out that it was to check for wanted criminals. I was dizzy! We took a passenger ship. It was said that it would take 20 minutes to reach the shore, but it actually took half an hour. But it was faster than a ro-ro ship. It was said that a ro-ro ship took 40 minutes, but it actually took an hour. When we came back, we took a ro-ro ship. , very slow, it takes ten minutes to reach the shore!
Arrived at Changdao at 14:40 pm. After taking a taxi after leaving the pier, I heard from the taxi driver that Changdao is divided into North and South Islands. There is a road across the sea between the two islands, and you can see many fishing boats. The South Island is relatively prosperous, with scenic spots such as Fengshan Forest Sea, Wonderland Source, Wangfu Reef, etc. The North Island is relatively quiet, with scenic spots such as Jiuzhang Cliff and Moon Bay.
At 15:00 in the afternoon, we arrived at Lanlan Fisherman’s House in Beidao. The owner’s surname was Li, he was tall and thin, and he was very down-to-earth. We take a short break.
We set off to Jiuzhang Cliff at 16:00 in the afternoon. The owner said it would take 10 minutes to walk, but we still walked for more than 20 minutes. The transportation in Changdao is not very convenient. You have to take a taxi to go to the scenic spots, and there are no buses. We bought a combined ticket for four scenic spots on the northern line, Moon Bay, Jiuzhang Cliff, Wangfu Reef, and Wonderland Source. I no longer bought the 50 yuan joint ticket for the two attractions mentioned online. The ticket is very simple, just a thin piece of paper. Jiuzhang Cliff is actually named because the cliffs on the seaside are very unique. There are also many ball stones. The sea view is good, and you should be able to watch the sunset.
At 18:00 in the evening we walked back to Yujiale.
Dinner, shower and rest at 19:00 in the evening. In the evening, the owner of the fisherman's house made big stuffed seafood buns, which were very unique and delicious.
Get up at 6:00 am on July 7th and set off after breakfast. The breakfast prepared by the owner of the fisherman's house consists of pickles, eggs, sourdough bread, soybean curd, and polenta, which is a bit richer than Penglai's.
Departure to Moon Bay at 7:00 in the morning, it takes 40 minutes to walk. Moon Bay is named after the beach is shaped like a crescent moon. The pebbles are good and stepping on them may cure athlete's foot! hey-hey! We also watched the seal show four times a day, 9:00, 11:00, 15:00, and 17:00.
Take a taxi from Moon Bay to Wangfu Reef at 10:00 am. It is at the northernmost point of the South Island. It takes 5 minutes by taxi. There is also a beach in the scenic area where you can swim, and there are many reefs. It was originally called Wangfu Reef, which was a reef where wives waited to see if their husbands had returned from fishing. It was later changed to Wangfu Reef to pray for the fishermen.
We returned to Yujiale at 11:30 noon. We had a good lunch, including scallops and small crabs with many seeds.
At 13:00 in the afternoon, we took a taxi from Yujiale to Changdao Pier and bought a ticket for the ro-ro ship that sailed to Penglai at 13:30.
We finally arrived at Penglai Port at 14:30 in the afternoon and took a taxi to Penglai Bus Station.
At 14:50 in the afternoon, we took the long-distance bus from Penglai to Yantai.
We arrived at Penglai Bus Terminal at 16:30 in the afternoon, took a taxi and went straight to the train station, because our train left at 16:50, so we were very nervous.
The 1392 train from Yantai to Jiamusi ran on time at 16:50 in the afternoon. We got on the train three minutes later. Fortunately, we had tickets with seats. But unfortunately, not only did we not buy any souvenirs or specialties, we didn't even have time to buy the bread and instant noodles that could satisfy our hunger on the train. The three of us returned to Tianjin hungry.
I arrived at Tianjin West Railway Station at 6:45 a.m. on July 8. The train was 8 minutes late, which was not too late compared to an hour later when I left.
