Yunnan is at the southwest end of the map of China.

Yunnan, referred to as "Yun" or "Dian" for short, is located in the southwest border of China, bordering Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Guizhou Province in the east, facing Sichuan Province across the Jinsha River in the north, bordering Xizang Autonomous Region in the northwest corner, Myanmar in the west, Laos and Vietnam in the south and southeast respectively.
