During the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" period, the renovation of the residential area of Gonghua ancient town will be mainly considered in the near future. The Group strictly controls the building height in the old city, and the architectural design reflects local characteristics and is in harmony with the old city. The east side of Gonghua City is planned as residential land and tourist land. Combined with the greening reconstruction project of Shahe Reservoir and the banks of Shahe River, it will become a new tourist spot along Badaling Expressway.

The planned land area of the old city reconstruction area is 486.59 hectares, and the first-class development project has been completed, and the land use procedures are being handled. It is estimated that the total investment in the transformation of the old city and the development of the new area in the east of the old city will reach 6 billion yuan, and the planned total construction area is about 1, 3 1, 000 square meters. It is estimated that the demolition will be carried out in the start-up area of the old city reconstruction in 2005, and the relocation project of 200,000 square meters will be completed in 2006. It is estimated that the whole old city reconstruction project will be completed within 4-5 years.

It takes only one hour to get to Shahe in Changping District by bus from Deshengmen, Beijing. Four ruins of Gonghua City, an important town in the Ming Dynasty, are hidden in the old city about one square kilometer east of Shahe.

Gonghuacheng is located on the Wenyu River, with Nanshahe and Beishahe in the north and south respectively. At present, there is an ancient bridge "Chaozong Bridge" in the Ming Dynasty on the North Shahe River. It was once as famous as Lugou Bridge in Fengtai and Bali Bridge in Tongzhou. In the old days, it was called the "Three Bridges of Gyeonggi" to protect the capital. Palace City is 42 miles south of the capital Deshengmen and 20 miles north of Changping Town. It is the only place for the Ming emperor to visit the north to pay homage to the imperial mausoleum. Palace City in Qing Dynasty is an important frontier fortress in northern Beijing, leading to the throat town beyond the Great Wall, with complicated business travel. The tongzhi office of the North Road Guild Hall is located here.

In April 20 14, four city gates were built.

With a history of more than 400 years, Gonghua City was once an important stop for the Ming emperors to offer sacrifices to the Ming Tombs. Recently, Beijing Municipal Commission of Culture and Changping District Commission of Culture jointly launched the overhaul project of Gonghua City. The overhaul of Gonghuacheng is divided into three stages, and the 1 stage is currently under way, which is scheduled to be completed in July. Changping District Government stated that the maintenance of Gonghua City adheres to the principle of "repairing the old as before", and Gonghua City will be the core landscape of Shahe New City and Changping Science and Technology Business District in the future.
