Ono Island was the site of Japanese poison gas factory during World War II. It is one of the art islands in Seto, Japan. Located about 3 kilometers offshore of Zhonghai Town, Takehara, Hiroshima Prefecture, the coastline is 4.3 kilometers long. Known as the "island that disappeared from the map", it was called the poison gas island because it was used as a place to make chemical weapons in wartime.
